How will quantum computing change the world? Neil deGrasse Tyson and comedian Chuck Nice learn about the development of quantum computing and what it means for humanity with theoretical physicist Michio Kaku.

What will quantum computing do beyond regular computing? Find out about the race to create the first all-purpose quantum computer and Michio’s book, Quantum Supremacy: How the Quantum Computer Revolution Will Change Everything. Discover quantum bits and how quantum computing breaks from binary. How will we use quantum computers in astrophysics? We explore disaster scenarios and how quantum computing could help us predict coronal mass ejections.

Where is quantum computing currently? We discuss brain mapping and whether quantum computers could be used as transporters. Plus, learn what it's like to work in string theory and how Michio got his start. Would it be possible to create instant interstellar communication using quantum entanglement?

Learn how quantum entanglement works and why it would be hard to send a message faster than the speed of light. Could quantum computing solve infinity? What is spacetime foam? What forces cause the strings in string theory to vibrate? All that, plus, what comes AFTER quantum computing?

How soon do you think we'll have all-purpose quantum computers?

I'm a fan of Neil and Michio and could listen to them for hours. Highlight Episode 🤩

Neil Tyson and Michio Kaku... The crossover we always want AND need!
  • @JagexAnarchy
It feels like neil and chuck are students making jokes during class and Prof. Michio simply smiles. Very wholesome.

Nice. Two of my favorite physicists, plus the funniest comedian to appear regularly on an astrophysics channel. Sweet!

If there are two gentlemen on this planet that command my full attention whenever they talk, it's Neil and Michio. Lots of love for Chuck, of course! I was really hoping that Michio was actually in video and not just used in the thumbnail. I actually yelled, "Yes!" when he appeared on screen 😊❤

Watching Dr Tyson and Dr Kaku have a conversation is like watching Nicola Tesla and Albert Einstein at a lunch table.
  • @AmazingOwnage
LOL at Dr. Kaku just sitting there smiling while Neil and Chuck are losing it 😂
  • It is a real treat when the two most popular scientists in the world get together for a YouTube show.
  • Best episode so far. Love Michio! He seems to know the answer before the question was completely asked. Humble. Articulate. Patient. Great man!

I clicked on this knowing I wasn’t gonna understand it and I’m still okay with that

Love it when the two OG’s get together. Neil and Michio are awesome together.

46 minutes went by faster than the speed of light, what a treat Michio and Neil.

I appreciate these episodes. Thank you .

Possible Quantum Entanglement for Communication Idea: 1. Each of the two locations has 3 boxes of an entangled atom. Each box has it’s entangled twin at the other location. 2. A different message is decided for each box as follows: Box 1 = Yes Box 2 = No Box 3 = Maybe 3. To send “Yes” the sender splits the atom at location one or forces it in some way to change it’s spin. Problem: How does an alarm go off to indicate this has happened so the receiver knows this? Will hitting an atom to split it do anything to the entangled one instantaneously for detection of which box was messed with, because it’s entangled? Can the spin of an atom at location one be forcefully changed by striking it with a laser or something?
  • My two favorite scientists together, Great episode. This one was fascinating, Thanks for having Dr. Kaku on the show.

I'm a simple being - I see Michio Kaku, I click. The depth of knowledge and understanding is very hard to leave anyone disappointed.

Did he seriously not want to talk about AI in a quantum computer? Michio would have shed some amazing light on that subject
