coolest part is molly did ALL of the vocals.
  • @sukigdwastaken
They actually had to bring on a guest vocalist for this one because their usual female singer, AISHA, couldn’t do the deep voice. …which also means that Molly Daisy was the only vocalist for this whole song, and did BOTH voices

Thank you for reacting I’m glad you like the song ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

As others have said, both the growl and "regular" vocals are both done by Molly. It's also canonically a song that Elphelt wrote for her own wedding ceremony, I don't think there are official lyrics out yet so it may actually be "Our Hallelujah". It has a section of "All I want for Christmas" because her birthday is December 25th, and a section of "Amazing Grace" because of the themes of being lost, but a bit inverted, she lost grace of the Universal Will and is still finding her purpose.

Elphelt is Ramlethals sister! Compared to Ramlethal Elphelt is super bubbly and fangirly, and she carries around a marriage certificate in case of the (highly likely) event she falls madly enough with the first man she sees. She had a huge wedding motif in Xrd that was toned down in Strive in favor of communicating her being a metal singer now, but in Xrd she wore basically a wedding dress. In the story of Xrd their mother created the two of them for the purpose of fusing them with Justice, to gain the power needed to basically restart the universe in her image. To that end when both sisters eventually broke free from her control she kidnapped Elphelt and tried to force the fusion, but Sol, Ram and gang saved her and Jack-O (a Valentine seperate from El and Ram, made by Asuka instead of Ariels) took her place in the fusion. Sin, Elphelt and Ramlethal now all act pretty much like found family, with Ky and Dizzy as the parents. Ramlethal joined the Illyrian army, and Elphelt was also given a job in the government but she wasn't able to keep up with it which made her feel guilty even though nobody was really mad at her for it. Regardless she ran away, searching for her true calling, and discovered that she just loves sharing happiness and love more than anything else. Therefore she decided to become a singer in order to do that, and that's pretty much the state she's in now, trying to get her career off the ground (she's not quite a star yet contrary to what ppl think, she mentions she's only sold 8 concert tickets so far). Elphelt Ram and Sin as a trio are some of my favorite characters in the series. Their story in Xrd is just so peak. This song was entirely sung by Molly Daisy who is new to this series! She's insane she killed this song so hard. Motifs wise, at 2:15 (in the original song, not your video) you can hear a little bit of All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carrey, which makes sense because that song is a love song, and Elphelts birthday is Christmas Day. Additionally between sections, and especially at the end of the song, you can hear the intro to her Xrd theme, "Marionette". Her theme in Xrd was pretty dark sounding so hearing it again so loud and clear and so upbeat at the end of her new song feels like it's the end of one chapter of her life, it's really sweet. Marionette is also just a banger.

The main riff, the lyrics and vocals are super tasty in this version. Molly Daisy Scarpine has such range its crazy. Not quite sure if this is top 5 yet or not but its damn close.
  • @TheGallantDrake
Super wholesome romantic death metal was not on my bingo card :|
  • @ArtDumbster
What I love about this song is that it makes you want to sing along :D
  • @night_shade4015
As a little bonus throughout the song and most notably at the end you can hear the guitar playing the motif from the beginning of her xrd theme marionette

There is a video called “the many musical references in guilty gear” that shows the names of characters, moveset, music and band references and more, would definitely recommend
  • @Kumamarudesu
Simply the best of all (in my humble opinion of course).
  • @devsleeps54
Dorky and contagious is very on brand for Elphelt, she's so cute and fun.
  • @VeeZzz123
I didn't know I loved melodic vocals simultaneously on top of growls so much until now
  • @kingst00n
I must say Ive been watching you for 3 or 4 months now. But I will always love that you notice things that I dont even on first listen. Your teaching me more and more about music that I didnt already know. Also love the new graphics and ui editing youve been doing! Other things ive notice but others have also noticed: Certain parts of the song has little hints through the chord prog of other love related songs specifically 9:07 shares a chord prog with Amazing Grace. 5:30 also shares some rythm uniqueness with All I want for christmas is you.
  • @Yoshi-ux9ch
Something that it seems like you missed is that at 5:45 this song actually samples "All I want for Christmas" which apart from being hilarious on its own is a reference to the fact that Elphel was born on Christmas.
  • Hallelujah, references to Amazing Grace and All I Want for Christmas be upon ye (El is christmas themed)
