    I don't think you guy truly understand Chinese boxing. Forms are shadow boxing training where you have the chance to develop balance, power and foundation. No different from a boxer in front of a mirror correcting their form. I hate to have to say this but I've have watch none of you address this issue since modern day fighters think this is useless. This was once said by an old fighter that won reportedly 60 duels by blade. What he said I will never forget. "Martial Arts is a Dance". You have to match the rhythm of the fighters in your times. That why thing evolve. Of course if you go into a match with outdated steps you will not do well, but if you match the dance and throw in move of your style of dance at the right moment, you stand a chance. The straight punch forward in the move is to produce more trorqe in you wastes to issue Fa Gin. Plus each move have at least 3 applications. Look into Sanda and see how they use this stuff in there matches.
