The classic fishing bait- earthworms AKA night crawlers have been a timeless go-to bait for freshwater fishermen. But will night crawlers work for surf fishing bait? We will be testing the effectiveness of this bait in the surf, and talking about the pros and cons of using worms for bait! I am curious to see how well they work while beach fishing. Painting my weights has made a big difference. Thanks for the tip
  • Nightcrawlers work In saltwater, usually better than Bloodworms, especially for Striped Bass, White and Yellow Perch, Hardhead, Spot, Speckled Trout, Red and Black Drum. Not surprised you would have success with them in Florida.
  • Hey Skipper, I love the team here in this video, lots of fun to watch. I used earthworms last week, because sand worms and blood worms are around $20 for a dozen in the NYC area. Well, I was surprised to see how well they work. I consistently caught seabass, on them. I also caught a very big ray using earthhworms the other day. Love the channel, new friend here!!
  • Been using nightcrawlers for bait since I was a kid. Sheepshead and snapper love em too. Lot cheaper than shrimp. Lok
  • Worms are also fairly easy to keep. Not just for fishing either, but also good for getting rid of kitchen scraps and great for gardening. Good way to make extra cash to.
  • @saxon6
Caught flounder in the surf at OBX with nightcrawlers
  • I’m learning all I can about surf fishing right now. One day, hopefully soon and I’ll be fishing too. I gotta say your videos are the best out there in my opinion. And I’ve watched a ton of content. 😅✌️
  • Landing that shark on a rod that breaks apart in FIVE places is wild man, i work in fabrication and know what a feat that is design wise. Might have to pick one up!
  • Love the videos always look forward to the new vids love your dad lol😂
  • Just letting you know I love your videos bro!.,it inspires me to keep fishing 🙏your passion and drive makes me wanna get out there🥰 The information you give is really supportive and just seeing you, your wife and your Dad out there looks like a truly awesome experience (I wish I could've done the same with my dad but sadly he's passed away😔) Thank you bro🙏
  • Love these video's guys, keep them coming! I also tried earthworms at sea here in The Netherlands, they work fine.

Earthworms are superb bait all round and work very well off Piers
  • I fish with nightcrawlers in the ocean often for flounder here in Nova Scotia. I’ve caught mackerel, pollock, cunners, sculpin, and more in salt water on worms. I’ve also seen people catch striped bass on them before too, with a spinner.
  • Awesome show. We used red worms to fish for Spots in South Carolina. They don't live long in salt water, but the fish don't seem to make me.😂
