CORRECTION: The Roar Of Time move will EXTEND your premium items, not pause them. Which means you can have a 24 hour lucky egg, incense, daily incense, and star piece.

The candy cost alone makes adventure effects a little lame. We can always farm stardust but once these pokemon rotate out, itll be pretty hard to farm candies using just buddy walking and rare candies. I fully expect this feature to get reworked just like Megas were, going from a cool but mediocre addition to a top tier mechanic

Imagine if the time anomalies have paradox Pokémon as well. It would be a really thematic way of introducing them

I assume you can still use the incense when paused (extending the time by 6 minutes) not just pausing the item. That would be worthless

Niantic realized people liked the increase spawn radius so they decided to put it behind raids and a stardust/candy sink instead of just added it as a normal feature Outstanding move

Doubling the spawn distance actually gives 4x the area that you will see spawns in (because area of a circle is r^2). So will be interesting to see if they give double radius, or 1.4x radius (sqrt of 2, giving double area)...

I play less Pokémon go, but I’ve never missed a GO tour so I have to do this one, and seeing this gets me excited for the GO tour

I think you are misreading the announcement. Origin Dialga's roar of time basically extend your use time of lucky egg, incense and starpieces.

The pause means you can keep using the item it just doesn't count down... not like pausing it for the next day haha

So, with the spacial rend ability, will you be able to spin pokestops from a farther range too? Or is it limited to only spawns?

I think that from the special reasearch will give you one (of the one you choose) but the chances of the moves from raids will be like 1/10 or somthing

Expanding the catch radius temporarily is something that's already in Monster Hunter Now. If you're looking for video ideas for potential new features look to other Niantic titles.

I feel like what they mean by "pause" is that the timer just doesn't count down for a certain duration, but the effects still continue. Not that the item is put into some kind of hibernation.
