I'm not 100% sure but I think he buried his daughter in the backyard, not his wife. As his daughter's death was an accident that tipped his mental scale. The wife probably had a normal funeral hence the gravestone.

I never thought I'd say this but hello neighbor might actually be a good representation of PTSD. Like the nonsensical dreams about the event/ different triggers, minor things being a trigger (like the locks), and really having to confront every minor detail of the event to recover. Also, the mechanic of the house constantly changing and the ever present threat of the man really explains the feeling of being constantly on edge from a perceived danger and how our memory really distorts our perception of what happened. While I personally hate the narrative of having to forgive the person who caused you harm to recover, I can understand why people would want to mod it in from a narrative perspective.

4:50 Honestly, im pretty sure the house was destroyed by the townpeople after reading Hello Neighbor: Reset Day (Book #7). From what i read from it, when the town gets mad, they get REALLY mad. There is also an image of the house filled with grafities saying "Murderer". I honestly think assuming that the the Neighbor ruined the town's reputation is a bit of a big leap 7:40 According to Hello Neighbor: Buried Secrets (book #3) Mr Peterson wanted to protect his son (Aaron) who was all he had left. He locked him away from the outside world and told the town he went missing. 9:04 No. The shadow simply represents fear like u said in the last video

This game was extremely underwhelming and I guess that disappointment stopped people from looking this deep into the game's lore. Including me. That's why I'm happy you made those videos, because I can finally look at this game from an unbiased perspective.

I still don't think the house was demolished because it was a stain on the neighborhood's reputation, because of Theodore's actions (specifically kidnapping). Nikki's house was still owned by someone, while Mr. Peteron's house clearly was sold. It doesn't seem to me that Nikki ever tolled anyone what happened to him and Mr. Peterson either moved himself and his insane son somewhere else or died and after his death, the house was demolished. Although I do think that the strange way he behaved and possibly finding Maya's body buried in the backyard, and his mentally unhinged son locked in the basement did contribute to destroying the house.

I wish that fan made ending was canon, or looked better. That would've been so nice to see. But have it be optional, like you can either leave and go back to your life, or you can save him. I would've liked that.

God this is so sad... i almost cried... even if the fan made ending is not canon it is in my head

To be honest the happier ending to me could be a way of him making amends with what happened and understanding the fact that he was a broken man that trying to deal with his grief did terrible things and understanding that he (the neighbor) wasn't a villain but a man broken by grief and in a bad mental state and accepting that what happened wasn't his fault and moving on from his trauma
  • this is the greatest story i heard so far. But you know there is another one that still isnt solved yet and its a very long one. "We Happy Few Lore". There's tons of notes, and stories that are scattered. Maybe you can Make a Lore about it.
  • Thanks for helping on this, ive been confused about this and watch the playthrough of the hide and seek version of it and play secret neighbor a bit it shows many secrets

in the book series writted and illistrated by Carly Anne West it is explained that the wife (Dianne Peterson) had a normal funeral and after that funeral Mr.Peterson tells the town of raven brooks that Mya and Aaron are staying with a relitive who lives in washington. nicky can seem to understand that so he calls the reletive and finds out that Mya and Aaron arent acually living with the reletive and missing signs go up everywhere witch is where the first game starts as seen all the missing posters of a girl with pig tails and a boy clearly showing aaron and mya. It was told in the book that mya was not at the funneral kinda hinting that mya had been pushed off. and in fear Mr.Peterson locked Aaron in the basment in pure horror that way Mr.Peterson would not loose Aaron. all of this is displaced in 2 hello neighbor novels. 1: "Missing Pieces 2: "Waking Nightmare"

I was waiting for this vid ♡ Thanks, R!! Amazing as always
  • I always thought the game was about wanting to know what was going on in the house and seeing what the secret was. I've never played it and I probably should after this.
  • Another amazing video ! I really hope you will get more visibility and likes ^^
  • Man you are looking so good with trimmed moustache and beard. BTW how's the progress is going for HOME SWEET HOME. Really waiting for that one.

If you read the books for hello neighbor, you will find that Nicky was best friends with Aaron ( Peterson's son) and (I forgot the Peterson's daughter's name) the girl. And Act 1 starts after Nicky has a complete meltdown at a festival or convention because his friends had left his little invention group to make a better one which the festival/convention owners accepted. He meltsdown infront of all his friends, parents and the crowd; running home whilst kicking a ball in anger ( I think) and then Act 1 starts. I do believe it is not only a good read but a very interesting look on Hello Neighbor, by all means check it out.
  • @mr.repro54
Nice video ! :D 10/10 that's totaly the complete story of hello neighbour
  • Am I the only one still wondering what happened to the son after Nicky and the house is demolished? Like did Nicky accidentally let him escape? Did Mr P kill him? I got questions.
  • @JoopiterGD
you should cover the books since they really complete the story, and explain some things that we only speculated about in the games
