In this video I talk about how you should design your first coaching package. When building your own consulting business, one of the hardest tasks is to design your initial offer.

Don’t waste time trying to create the perfect offer for your first few clients, you’ve never done this before after all, so the initial few clients are going to be a learning experience.
I recommend you start small when designing your first offer. Ideally, It should be about 90 days.

This is so you have long enough that you can provide your client with real results, but it’s also short enough that you aren’t stuck with them long-term if you don’t enjoy working with them.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your process is going to be far from perfect in the
beginning, but don’t worry about perfecting the process yet, it’s too early for that. At the start, you’re going to be inefficient, and you won’t be entirely sure what to even expect, but the only way to remedy this is with experience.

This is important to remember when you’re deciding what to offer because ultimately, you’re flying blind until you have your first few clients under your belt.

Every now and then one discovers a rare gem on YouTube (and that's not easy to do). Your content is an absolute find and an inspiration to anyone thinking of becoming a consultant or coach. I have been a professional consultant for 25 years, and I can say, what you are teaching is first-class material and should be heard by ANYONE thinking of becoming a paid consultant. I don't know you but I am bewildered why there aren't more people listening to this. My many thanks, Luisa, for delivering such generous and GOOD content. Thank you!!

I've been a tech biz consultant for 20 years now. I am launching my own coaching program now and have invested $1000s of dollars to other coaching trainers and masterminds. Luisa, your approach is a breath of fresh air. Simple, to the point, arrow to the center of the target content. Thanks for serving this community. I'm launching today...Let's GO!!!

I came across your content and it is indeed a gem. I am a fairly new coach and seeking to design my coaching package. Thank you for your quick and easy steps. Very helpful and I wish you success in your business.

THANK YOU for the point about learning to BE a good coach early on and not focusing on that efficiency and making the most profit that early on. I have been feeling so torn in this- I build a great business structure from the start (with an epic mentor) but then I was struggling because I'd set up this boundary and structure... and then I didn't give myself room to over-deliver and I felt like I wasn't allowed to give too much of my time. It was totally the opposite of the way I wanted to show up- especially as a new coach like you pointed out! Now, hearing you say this, that instinct I had and the longing for more flexibility and less pressure for efficiency makes a lot more sense! The efficiency can come after I've really set a strong foundation for myself AS a coach too. boom
  • This was so helpful, solved my problem precisely, I almost couldn't believe this video existed it was so helpful, and also you saved me so much time. For the past three years I have been doing online coaching and consulting with clients that only required one or two sessions and am branching out into a longer multiple session coaching series in a different field.
  • Hi Luisa, to answer your question about any tips I have: my advice for selling coaching services is do it with an FAQs page, rather than lengthy explanations on a website or brochure. People won't read those, and they don't convert into sales in my experience. FAQs pages with the end phrase being: sign up (if you have an online shopping cart) or How do I sign up? (then a clickable phone number or email) has been converting to sales for two years for me. My FAQs are: Q: What is a... (name your product, if necessary break it down a little bit) A: Q: Can you show me an example? A: Q: When does it take place? A: Q: How does it benefit me? A: Q: How does it help me with my (Google ranking or any other specialized value the product you're selling can bring) A: Q: How does it work exactly? A: Q: What does it cost? A: Q: How do I sign up? (Or Sign up button leading to shopping cart and online payment) A: (Clickable email or phone number if you need to send them further details for payment and completing the sale)

Now this is exactly what I have been needing to think about. Thank you so much. Most online coaches miss out this practical approach which is how to start and how to get the programme up and running. Thank you

Thisss!!! Thank you! This is what I’ve been looking for. Something direct, straight to the point that eliminates confusion. I’m a Mental Health Therapist so I have a baseline of how this works but I wanted to know how to apply it as a Coach. It’s a lot more aligned than I realized. The relief I feel. 🙌🏾Thank you 🩵

Enjoyed this video! Love the idea of setting a specific time limit for the length of the coaching and the big goal to be accomplished then reverse engineering from that. I can immediately see how that would create a sense of momentum with the milestones.
