I had the BIGGEST smile on my face during this whole sequence. So much vibrancy, Diggs' splendid voice, and Halle's adorable reactions the whole time. 😍 They adapted this scene EXCELLENTLY, imo. Edit: Just saw it today for the third time, and it's still as fun as the first time. 😁

As a biology student, I can truly say that this scene is one of the best representations of the marine life ever made in a kid's movie! It didn't only show ray-finned fishes, molluscs, crustaceans and algae like we always see. We can also find a diversity of sponges, cnidarians, platyhelminths, echinoderms and other vertebrates (like the rays, turtles and mammals)! A huge thanks to Disney for making the most beautiful animated marine ecossystem I've ever seen!!! (Wow, 3k likes! I've never thought I'd get so many in a Youtube comment)

When Ariel is smiling at Sebastian and swaying to the music at 3:46 on - is MAGICAL. I got tears in my eyes just how beautiful and joyful she was. Perfect Ariel.

I know the effects and visuals were criticized but I personally think the visuals are so colorful and beautiful! And I thought Halle was the best part of the movie- her voice is beautiful and she made a great Ariel!

As someone who works in marine conservation, I really love that they made the animals realistic, I love that people get to appreciate the beauty of the ocean sea just as it is.. hopefully they will feel like Protecting it more

I like both versions of under the sea. It's disappointing that Samuel E. Wright, the original voice actor for Sébastien didn't live to see this movie. I'm sure he would have been very impressed by Daveed Diggs' performance.

halle bailey has the voice of a siren. Her singing is so angelic. It's definitely the highest justification for an almost shot by shot remake.
