As a biology student, I can truly say that this scene is one of the best representations of the marine life ever made in a kid's movie! It didn't only show ray-finned fishes, molluscs, crustaceans and algae like we always see. We can also find a diversity of sponges, cnidarians, platyhelminths, echinoderms and other vertebrates (like the rays, turtles and mammals)! A huge thanks to Disney for making the most beautiful animated marine ecossystem I've ever seen!!! (Wow, 3k likes! I've never thought I'd get so many in a Youtube comment)

I love how this version has Ariel sing, it shows how she doesn't exactly hate living under the water and recognizes the beauties of her sea. This whole song was so fun and colorful, great job!

This song is beautiful because it shows us that Ariel really doesn't hate her home, she just has a passion for experiencing what life is like elsewhere.

halle bailey has the voice of a siren. Her singing is so angelic. It's definitely the highest justification for an almost shot by shot remake.

As someone who works in marine conservation, I really love that they made the animals realistic, I love that people get to appreciate the beauty of the ocean sea just as it is.. hopefully they will feel like Protecting it more

I had the BIGGEST smile on my face during this whole sequence. So much vibrancy, Diggs' splendid voice, and Halle's adorable reactions the whole time. 😍 They adapted this scene EXCELLENTLY, imo. Edit: Just saw it today for the third time, and it's still as fun as the first time. 😁

Hands down, one of the best live adaptations Disney has made. My daughter is still in love with this movie and to me, that’s all that matters!
