The organ in the opening is absolutely magical.
  • My dad got me my 1st U2 cassette in 8th grade. He told me that I needed to listen to a band with a purpose and a message. He wasn't wrong and this was the very first song we listened to together. I miss him so much❤
  • I remember hearing this song when as a high school freshman when it first came out. The very first time I heard it was on a very good stereo system, cranked all the way up to 11. Gave me chills the first time I heard it, still does. Amazing song and one of the best albums of all time. It’s a trip down memory lane every time I hear it. Hard to believe it’s been 35 years.

The Canucks have finally made this their playoff theme again. It's about time.

I listened to this album a lot when I was little kid, because my mother was always a big fan of U2. Today I live miles away from her, it's her birthday and I'm listening to this album as a way to feel her close to me on that day. I miss you mamiiii!

At 17 years of age, this song send shivers down my spine. At 54, it still has that effect. In general reference to U2, I just love how Adam Clayton said that “it is kind of bullshit that we can’t mix politics and music.” Timeless song .

This was the song we used at our wedding in Nov 92 . At the reception of course . This was the song that played when the wedding party , and Bride and Groom were being introduced. I’m proud to say we are still married after 30 years , and that this song still gives me the goosebumps 🤠🙏♥️

When I was a kid I went on a long road trip through the western US. I'll never forget us driving through the desert at night, headlights passing by, and this album playing. It filled me with such a feeling of wonder and amazement even then.
  • One of the greatest albums of all time . You can hear the influence running through the decades .. Coldplay , big country , so many bands inspired by this iconic band 💪🏼

It was simply a better time. A better world. Music and feelings. And moments I will never forget. At least I hope I'll never forget.

I was 20 going on 21 when this came out. I still play it today and if I'm still around for its 50th anniversary, I'll STILL be playing it. One of the greatest tracks of all time from one of the greatest albums of all time
