  • FOX News has literally argued in court that Tucker Carlson shouldn't be taken seriously.
  • Oh the irony. Tucker says his show is nothing but the truth whereas FOX in court has argued that "no intelligent person would actually believe Tucker Carlson".
  • Don't you just love it when LastWeekTonight episodes age like fine wine?

I ran back to this the minute I heard Fox fired Tucker. I remember watching this when it came out... and now I needed to watch it again to celebrate.

Daily reminder: Fox News won a court case by arguing that no "reasonable viewer" should be taking Tucker Carlson's show seriously. In other words, Fox News literally argued that Tucker Carlson's show is fake news. The irony is fucking insane!!!!
  • @Rycluse
Tucker always looks like he's confused why black people are allowed to move into his neighborhood
  • @eepien
We better take John Oliver seriously. The man's choice of topics is impeccable.
  • @cornelia080
Crazy to watch this today as it was announced Tucker was removed from the network! (They say mutual decision, but if that was the case, they definitely would have given him a last show/episode.)
  • @eleddar
You just know Tucker Carlson is gonna bring this up on his show.
  • @JeromeBellon
Tucker Carlson is the embodiment of any sentence that starts with: "I'm not racist, but..."
  • @shadowarena
I'll never get tired of John dunking on Tucker Carlson.
  • I'm glad John Oliver did this segment. I feel strongly that we, as a diverse nation, must either rise together or we will fall apart. This "us versus them" mindset hurts the nation as a whole. Otherwise, we are trying to compete as a world-power with one hand tied behind our backs.

I will never forget when John described Tucker as 'as if the sound 'Thud' grew a body'.

"If someone's liberation upsets you, there's a good chance that you were benefiting from their oppression."

Sometimes when breaking news comes out I go looking for some bits from John and have a giggle.

In 1976, Carlson's parents divorced after their nine-year marriage reportedly "turned sour". Carlson's father was granted custody of Tucker and his brother. Carlson's mother left the family when he was six, wanting to pursue a "bohemian" lifestyle. This EXPLAINS IT ALL, doesn't it?
  • @Zap_Rowsdower
Important note: Tucker stopped wearing his sad little bowties after Jon Stewart made fun of how dumb he looked in them.
  • Little disappointed John didn't bring up that fox lawyers literally argued that Tucker is not a news reporter and his words shouldn't be taken as fact
  • It’s amazing to see this after Tucker Carlson got booted out of Fox News.
