The Friendly Hiding Man - Dark Souls III

Some say he's hiding in every world.

I think the part that is really sad is how you make little connections with people in dark souls and once they're gone you'll never see them again.

Pretty sure that was true love at the end.

This took a very emotional turn.

each time I see this friendly blue man jumping to his straight death I feel sad... he was humiliated by bad knights and when he finally met a friendly person, he thought that he doesn't deserve it and decided to end his life... very sad story.

The symbolism is unreal, just amazing. This is the tale of a young man who hides from everything in life. As he goes he innocently hides from his problems, even at some turns having fun. As he gets older the joy is fading, he starts to see that hiding is wrong but he knows nothing else. He starts to have thoughts of committing suicide and pretends to jump in front of his friends. Finally one young girl comes into his life whilst he is laying in his corner contemplating life. They touch, the friendly hiding man feels joy again. Thoughts of his uncle's chemistry class comes to mind. He however realizes that she needs better, he isn't the best for her, so he waves good bye as she curls up and friendly hiding man just... Jumps. I write this with tears

That ending got me right in my Unkindled area :(

I had a single tear going down my cheek by the end of this video. What a beautiful story :')

This video spoke to me in ways it shouldn't have.

Is it bad that I got legitimately depressed when The Friendly Hiding man kept dying or committing suicide?

Idk why but this almost made me cry ;/
