  • How how did it come to this? The divine beasts the guardians they’ve all turned against us. It was calamity ganon it turned them all against us And everyone Mipha urbosa Revali and daruk They’re all trapped inside those things Its all my fault Our only hope in defeating ganon is lost all because I couldn’t harness this cursed power. Everything Everything ive done up to now It was all for nothing So i really am just a failure All my friends.. The entire kingdom My father most off all I tried and I failed them all Ive left them all to die
  • link’s expressions when she starts crying... he really care about her
  • 90% of people talking about how they love/hate zelda's voice and crying 10% of people talk about Link shows an expression as Zelda is crying in his arms
  • @gLeeksFF
"I've let them all to die" honestly really liked the delivery of this line
  • Alright, who else actually started forming tears in their eyes when they saw that cutscene while playing?
  • The reason I like this version the most is because all her life she was told pray and train to get her power out. She always had to keep everything to herself and be quiet. So can you blame her for being quiet if that's all she knows? Even in the crying, it sounds real just held back.
  • I feel like she is meant to be voiced like she doesn't have much emotion. Royalty archetypes usually have their emotions controlled and eventually dulled. She's trying to keep it together and the cracks are showing but the entire dam hasn't busted yet.
  • Zelda: full out sobbing and screaming in despair voice actor: uhuhuhu
  • You know, I used to hate Zelda's voice, but it's REALLY grown on me.
  • Notice how Link doesn't try to fix her problems? Smart man just keeping his mouth shut.
  • @nekotorin
And they want us to play this part now!? My poor heart cant take it

OMG I don't know why everyone says Zelda sounds terrible personally I love it.
  • i think zelda's quiet sobbing fits her better than screaming in anguish which doesnt feel natural with her. especially as someone who spent her whole life pretending like her whole life was going fine, she'd be used to making her cries as quiet as possible so she wouldnt be heard. having her silently break down in link's arms seems more in character to me
  • Just.. the way these two look at each other in this scene, Zelda heartbroken by her failure to unlock her power and Link heartbroken because she's heartbroken. And Link wasn't very expressive in the memories either because of the whole "gotta suffer in silence and keep my emotions under lock and key" thing that he had going on in the past, so to see him so distraught with Zelda's suffering... And then just Zelda crashing in his arms. So heartbreaking. And this scene is even sadder when you know this one takes place right before Link dies. (or almost dies, depending on your opinion of that scene) Here Zelda is pouring her heart out to Link about feeling responsible for everyone's death (or impending death) and then Link, literally the only person that she cares about that is left, dies in front of her as well. If Botw 2 doesn't have a "hug Zelda" option, then what even is the point?
  • After all those years seeing Zelda as a Princess, watching her in dirty cloths crying in the middle of a storm feeling like a failure is so... painful
  • Link has a kind-hearted personality for everyone :3 He hugged zelda because she was crying painfully.
