I can't believe that people actually considered knocking down the Piece Hall in the 1970s, thank god it was saved! It's beautiful and I'm seeing Korn at the Piece Hall in August, I can't wait! I've never been to Halifax before

I was born and lived here for the first 39 years of my life and although I now live in the Scottish Highlands I still visit a couple of times a year. Thanks for a very nostalgic & informative video !

Halifax lad born and bred, though moved away 23 years ago, i used to work in the building just up from the Parish church and when it wasn't raining i would have my lunch in the grounds of the church, at that time i was also living above the mechanics right next to the Halifax HQ, it was while they were building the 7th floor and made lying in on a Saturday impossible. Thanks for the vid.

My old man comes from Halifax and moved to Scotland in the late 70's. When we used to go see my Gran, who lived on Dyson Road late (80's-untill early 2000's), there were always conversations about no go areas for white people in HX. Gibbet street was mentioned, can't remember the other areas names. Is this still happening today in the town?
