We spent five days gorilla trekking in the Virunga Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda. On this particular day we visited the Hirwa Group, and saw Kabatwa and her twin baby boys, Isango and Isangano. They were born in February 2011 and were six months old when this was filmed. I would just mention that this was a photographic tour lead by a professional wildlife photographer, and camera shutters from DSLR cameras are audible in the video. I was the only non photographer in the group. The gorillas are habituated to this sound and it does not disturb them in any way.

  • Them twin young'ns are so damn adorable. What a life they have. They're vegetarians who live in an all-you-can-eat salad bar. Mountain gorillas are fascinating.

Amazing! I don’t understand and never will understand how humans can be so cruel to these beautiful amazing gentle giants. Mom has to eat twice as much it seems to make sure she can continue to produce milk for the babies. Absolutely beautiful to be able to witness them in person. Thank you for sharing.

Mom was calm, because she knew the silverback was there to protect her and those beautiful babies. TOO DAMN CLOSE!
  • Stay back!!! The fact the male didn't break you people in half just shows how loving and majestic these animals truly are! So beautiful

What a good mama and sweet babies. And look at the strength of that gorgeous silverback!

Her babies are so well behaved and laid back, just sitting there chillin with ma.

A perfect scene in nature. A mother eating nature’s bounty heartily in order to provide plenty of food for her twin babies. As long as we leave them alone in the wild they will live their lives as they were meant to. Beautiful and dad the leader keeps them safe. Everyone knows the place in order. Harmony is evident.

This video brought tears to my eyes! They are all so so beautiful! The power there hold seems so gentle as well as so so powerful! They are just truely amazing! I want to thank you all so much for making this video so that most of us can only dream of being in such a place in time!

Honestly I love watching these videos but really we just need to leave them alone. Let them live as natural and in peace as possible.
  • The sounds of all of the bloody cameras going off is more annoying than the awful music track!

Such wonderment to see this beautiful troop in the wild! Great that Mama can eat to her hearts content, while keeping an eye out for Big Daddy to grade against him getting too close to the babies, but he get's a quick look and moves on. The toddler is super cute, he's a wanderer and think I saw an older kid as well. The last still picture of Mama totally pooped out with the babies on her chest is priceless, shows having twins can take it out of even a Gorilla! Btw, Mom is gorgeous, Dad is so handsome and the kids are adorable, family genes are strong!!!! Thx for providing this peek into their lives...
  • Dad will protect those twins with his life, no matter what! Amazing!!!
  • @DaWahine79
Wow these dang photogs!!! Yes, we’re all for protecting these magnificent creatures but dang! Heard of zoom and mute button??? If you’re that close, then you guys did deserve that chest pounding! The sounds of your cameras do not resemble sound in the wilderness...I hope this has changed now 2018
  • Thank you Britney. The stress could kill the Mother. She was eating much to fast. Dad was getting mad. And gave a warning! Hello people , Do you have hearts. You are serving the gorillas up to the poachers. WTH are you thinking?
