I'll be honest. Escanor is the only reason why I even started sds and went through it.

Ironically enough, at his most powerful moment, he was also the most humble he could possibly be.

From the moment he stepped onto the screen. He carried that anime like a BOSS. Every fight he was in made the list for best fight scene for this anime😂😂😂

Actually I think Escanor was the most interesting Character, the epic moments, the fact he used to be the most powerful beeing but this 'borrowed' power is slowly killing him. All the tragedy in his life but then this unbreakable pride, yet arrogance in the Lion. Really well written Character!

The sin of pride has never loses to anyone. Even in death, it’s by his own power.

Escanor at the end was the real hero. There is nothing more honorable than laying down your life for those that you love. A Chad, and a real man. Although I wish he didn't die, it was truly a fitting end to the strongest man. Rest in peace escanor, lion sin of pride. You occupy more than just a corner of Merlin's heart

Sure Escanor finale is great but for me his bravery of fighting against that demon spawn shows the greatest side of Escanor. Even at his weakest he is brave, loyal, and uphold his pride as knight and member of the 7 deadly sins even as human with power rating below baby. I don't think Escanor can't be much more Gigachad when he's on steroid but I was wrong, he's even more Gigachad at his weakest

Those who praise the sun are actually praising lord Escanor.

Escanor is such a badass, the Demon King isn't an enemy, he's a stepping stone for his character arc.

This marks the finest end of any character in any form of art I've ever seen, Escanors death was as profoundly paradoxical as the nature of his character. A walking contradiction, the weakest yet strongest Sin, lived a death rich with pride and timidity, shaped by his life's journey. His final sacrifice was an ode to love and friendship, yet in those final moments and for the first time in his life, the conflicts that stem from his contradictory nature dissolved into perfect harmony, he was no longer a feeble humble man nor the arrogantly indestructible Sin Of Pride, he was but much more than that. In his final farewell speech his aura of pride never abandoned him, yet his title of Sin did, for the reasons he was proud could never be sinful. His latest act and transparent heartfelt words lead to the embodying of humility, he became the pinnacle of what any man could aspire to be at life's end and felt an enormous pride for the life he was leaving behind. A death that made him whole, the personification of proud humility, a striking paradox. In the end, nobody could kill Escanor, but Escanor himself, so pretentious, yet humbling, perhaps in and on itself a paradox. He will be forever missed as one of the best fictional characters ever conceived in human history.
