Hey there friends! I call you to stop watching crime shows, scary movies or action / dramas. They're addicting you to anxiety because your brain does not know that what you are watching is not actually happening to you. That's why you're so fearful of someone attacking you, breaking into your home or hurting you in some sort of way! We are constantly traumatizing ourselves by watching this type of content.
It's taken me 2+ years to not allow the feelings of fear to overrun me.

I did this exact thing a few years ago! I have OCD and it's just self destructive to hyperfixate on everything that could go wrong in the world. Growing up my dad never watched movies or shows that were sad and I never understood but I get it now. Our energy is so precious we shouldn't waste it on negativity.
