Has Kelsey Mitchell FIGURED OUT How to Play With Caitlin Clark?
In the Indiana Fever’s last game against the Minnesota Lynx, Caitlin Clark did not have her best game. Even so, Kelsey Mitchell picked up her slack, tallying 21 points in 8-18 shooting. Earlier in the season, it seemed like Kelsey Mitchell was too ball dominant to play with Caitlin Clark. Now, Kelsey Mitchell has been playing Off-Ball, which is contributing to her success.

  • She now understand that working with CC does not take away from her greatness but add her ability to be even greater.

Notice these tough wins have come since Hull has been playing ? Her defense is a BIG IMPACT to the momentum

Not only does Caitlin see the court better than everyone, she sees it faster the way a chess grandmaster sees the entire chess board. If Kelsey lets CC bring the ball up, it gives Kelsey a better chance to see openings for herself.
  • I like Kelsey Mitchell, she's good and she's starting to have fun. She lost her dad, he was young and she was sad. She's smiling again.
  • @reignmans
she is moving the ball way more than at the beginning of the season. she moves well off the ball and she is decent defensively. she is also adapting.
  • The easier CC makes her game and the more she realizes CC is totally FINE with KM getting her points, The more she believes and better she has been playing.

Thanks Carter for talking and analyzing basketball. I am getting so sick of the Click Bait of CC vs Angel, hate baiting, coach Sides sucks (well yeah we know) stories that have been so ubiquitous for the last month. I am getting so tired of the race baiting, I b victim. bs I have fed into my Youtube algorithm. You my friend are a breath of fresh air.
  • Kelsey Mitchell is a scorer, not a passer. I just wish she did not insist on a dozen dribbles almost every time she gets the ball.
  • @sqjpure
Kelsey Mitchell could stare at a brick wall and see an opening. Kelsey Mitchell could be quadrupil teamed like Angel reese when they killed her record and in her own mind she'd still see an opening. Kelsey Mitchell bypassed so many of her own team it's insane. Kelsey "the offence ends here" Mitchell is the best description ever.
  • Every one of Carter's Convos should be required viewing for every Fever player. Excellent analysis with the footage to back it up. I'm excited for the next game because it usually means another Convo from Carter.

Mitchell has been doing a lot better lately. She works well with Clark and Boston and I see the overall chemistry getting better game after game. It takes time to turn a bad team into a decent one but I think it’s starting to come together.

Your podcasts, including this one, are so intelligent and well-paced. The videos demonstrate your points quickly and clearly. Very professional. And I agree with you 100% regarding Kelsey Mitchell. (Only suggestion is that you add light source on your right side. The shadow is distracting.)
  • Of all the sites analyzing The Fever and Caitlin Clark, I think this is the most spot on with really insightful and accurate analysis. Finally someone that sees what I see from Kelsey Mitchell. She does seem to be at least partially buying into her proper role vis a vis Caitlin lately. I think she actually passed the ball to Caitlin once in the Lynx game. Caitlin needs more touches and shots in the mid range too, as shown by her recent first scores from mid-range and driving to the hole. Good job Carter, I’m now subscribed!

youre probably the best commentator on wnba youtube bc you actually break down the plays and dont make long videos about drama
  • This young man should be on The Sidelines!!! knows his Hoops... Impressive!!! Keep up The Great Work.....
  • @NickCager
If Mitchell is dribbling... she's not playing well with Clark... just get open and catch the damn ball!
  • @joni8748
I love your content! I have been ignorant of all the finer points of basketball. Pick & Rolls, playing off ball, screens, and more are now things I'm seeing. All because you do such an amazing job of breaking it down and showing it to me. Great job! More please!
  • @lenglish1264
Kelsey is a great shooter. I hope she annd CC have figured it out. AB is doing great. Nylissa is doing good. Others are doing better. I love this Team.
  • To add to the fact that it is baffling Clark is not on the Olympic team is she has already won two world international championships working for the USA. The UC17 and then the UC19 (WHERE SHE WAS MVP). She wore the USA Jersey twice and beat the world both times. Is a disgrace when they say she's a rook and can't compete. On the world stage...for the USA...she is a proven world beating monster. Mitchel? She'll learn. Love her. Seems she's not adverse to learning what's going on. 👍👍
