The Gnostic gospels of the 2nd to 4th century AD have told us a lot about the scene of evolving ideas during the early Christian period.

The Gnostics emerged as a group that saw the world very differently from the view of orthodox Christianity, and the sheer complexity of the doctrine has kept scholars and theologians engaged to this day.

From the point of view of someone reading these texts now, I'd describe them as a really fascinating sequel to the Bible, complete with its own host of deities, cosmology, alternative back stories to biblical incidents, unheard of cryptic teachings by Jesus, and mystical, heavily metaphorical theology.

And what about the purpose of these writings? Are they secret codes awaiting to be deciphered, or just a relic of a past doctrine that once flourished?

In this video we take a look at some of the quite obscure teachings from five different Gnostic gospels.
Enjoy!

Anytime the Gospel of Thomas talks about seeds and gardens, it’s talking about the seed (being the hidden portion of God within you) is sewn in the garden (the garden being the mind).

I've always understood what Yeshua meant by saying he is everywhere. We are all part of the energy of the universe and we are also everywhere. But we hold fast to our perception of reality because it is familiar. We are limited by this reality and its petty concerns. He taught that there is more than just this.
  • Who loves learning these things, passing time, learning more, hearing them again then the story makes so much more sense ❤

Im 58 now, my bday was yesterday & and jst over 3 months ago.I had never been religious, never owned a bible, didn't have a clue how to pray? Then I was graced by the Holy Spirit after an NDE. I could feel my blood pumping thro every vein around my body like an electric charge & of I went into the vast blackness. I became all knowing I knew everything. I won't go into it, but I was graced seeing Jesus smiling lovingly at me with such compassion, we didn't talk & hes smile was like "I told you I was real" as I stood in awe! Then he graced me with he's essence.I felt everything he felt. It still makes me cry now, Im a mam of 3 with 1 grandchild. The pure compassion, empathy & love he has for us all & how wondrous we are to our Father was outta this world. Since then, Im a full on Christian & I will serve my Lord to my death. I still get messages & dreams that renews my Faith ten fold. He's real & and he's coming soon, so guys repent & seek him before its to late 🕊🕊🕊

Loved this video!!! People like us are out here thirsty for some kind of truth because we can feel in our bones the lies of this world. It is a quest or journey more than a destination. Please keep this stuff coming we love it!
  • The early Christian church sought to establish a unified theological doctrine to maintain cohesion and authority. To do this, they needed to define a canon of authoritative texts that reflected their beliefs and teachings. Gnostic Gospels, with their divergent views, were seen as a threat to the doctrinal unity the early church leaders sought to achieve.

I’m reading the Gnostic Gospels right now and I would highly recommend that people of ALL faiths read them. They are learning of all the Natures of God.
  • My understanding is the Gnostics saw the material realm (matter and the world we perceive) as "evil" and to be overcome and transended. As a Buddhist, I see everything as part of whole, and simply different levels of perception. The Gnostics are still an interesting study, and did possess some deep wisdom and understanding.
  • We look back on Gnosticism as a movement to satisfy our need to label them, but, they were individuals and as The Christ came to bring individuals back to The Creator, not groups or congregations. Beyond the next heartbeat is the Spiritual world, but while our hearts beat, we still have to navigate life and love here.

Thanks to provide some clarity and more understanding Gnosticism is general term used to refer to multiple different sects that are similar but Gnostics themselves don’t subscribe to the same beliefs. However a key component about Gnosticism that’s common and not mentioned in this video is that the truth can only be revealed to you if you look within and are guided by Sophia/holy spirit. The same Devine spirit in all of us. This explains why some texts make complete sense to some and no sense to others and this is the hidden knowledge of Gnosis. However always understand Love is the filter, that will remove all that is man and leave what is God in any spiritual teaching. 🙏🏿

3:14 The meaning here: not that Jesus is omnipresent, but that the Christ speaking through him, the consciousness, is. All is consciousness, so Christ is all in that sense, because as a consciousness there are no boundaries or separations to the self. I think that means that Christ is a universe-level consciousness

After you read Nag Hammadi, go back to gospels, especially Gospel of John. It's basically the gnostic text within the New Testaments, as well as First Epistle of John. I personally believe that this sentence is a path: "If you stay in my teachings you are truly my disciples, you will know the truth and truth will set you free". Now, I don't know anyone who is reading and researching these gnostic gospels but I know myself. I am a sinner and far from perfect but I do live and try to live as much I as I can as Jesus taught. Forgive, help, do good, peace, tolerance and love. I am wondering if anyone else who is researching these writings is living and practicing the same as much as they could in this evil world? If you do those very well might be the teachings that Jesus mentions "if you stay in my teachings, you will know the truth" , and truth very well might be early Christians beliefs and theory. "If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be  in you" Jesus also said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life"...

It's a rabbit hole. The more you study it, the deeper it goes, and the more confusing it becomes. Good luck in your endeavors. May you find the truth that would set you free. As Jesus said, the path to the truth is a treacherous and narrow path.
  • Book of Enoch is esoterical. The books of Enki are superbly interesting human origin story. Uranta is so profound, I have to take breaks but it is the highest explanation of God and the realms. Make more videos.d

  • I would like to see one where it talks about how ASTROLOGY is the mother of all sciences and how it was prevalent in so many cultures. All major religions have origins in Astrology.

Entered this place confused and will exit it in a similar fashion, but it's good to know all of the perceived angles that exist. Everything we experience is up to interpretation, same goes for spiritual belief

90% of the gospel of Thomas is about the fact that Christ is within you. Verse 114 is talking in metaphors, male being the spiritual matter (aka semen) that is the basis of creation and female being the manifested “birthed” reality. Only females can give birth. To make female male isn’t about sexism, it’s saying to return the the corrupted/manifested reality to its true form or source, being the spiritual substance of the creator.
