Alternative Title: The Definition of Insanity

Inspired by GrindGod: ‪@grindgod847‬

Apologies about the delay on this one. I could have had it done about a week ago, but I had to move house which slowed things down quite a bit. But, it's here! This one turned out to be more involved than I was anticipating. Initially I thought it would just be a matter of grinding straight from the beginning to the end, but there were a few curveballs thrown my way. As a result of those curveballs, it was also a good bit longer than the first video. In any case, I hope you enjoy! What's next...?

its hilarious that he's explaining this like its a walkthrough. ya know, for all those people out there, looking to farm 400 million souls in dark souls 2's starting area.
  • This is interesting but the real question is what is the length of all dark souls ladders combined
  • @janterri3539
Imagine the last giant’s face when you first leave things betwixt and he sees you.
  • @thicctony4655
“407 million souls, that’s not that bad!” Me: You’re insane
  • @nathan5765
I actually knew about that 20 fps jumping trick when I first played the game, but not because I was clever and figured it out or because I googled it, but because my computer was such a piece of garbage it ran the game poorly enough for me to discover it without giving it a second thought.
  • @ozowoz
When I clicked this video I thought he was going to be killing only the pigs at the starting area
  • @meirg7847
Knowing the dark souls community, with creators like ymfah and zerolenny, I can guarantee that someone out there is legitimately doing this challenge right now
  • @candybetta4061
Getting max level in this game without any limits is surprisingly easy, just ~25 hours of killing the Giant Lord
  • @FenoTheFox
Accidentally scheduled this for 5AM... congrats to the people who saw it during that mistake, haha. Assuming this video does well like the Dark Souls 1 video did, I'll make videos about the remaining games too. Not sure if there's enough content to dedicate one video for each game, but maybe I'll round them all off into one video, or something... not sure. We'll see.

He started farming when the game was released, he just finished

Dark souls 2 is castlevania 2 simons quest all over again. Everyone seems to hate these games except me
  • I wonder how long it would take to completely remove all life from the game. Go through every area, killing every enemy enough times so that they stop spawning.
  • @skybolt6515
I don't know how, but someday this knowledge will save my life.
  • Honestly, I like the limited enemy spawns. Gives you a way to trivialize Boss runbacks if you have enough patience.
  • I really like that enemies dissappear after so many kills because there are areas in the game that would've been impossible for me to get past without it, namely the lava area with the smelter demon and the ancient dragon area

Fantastically underrated. I would love to see more of these types of videos in the future :)

I think this respawn stop mechanic is one of the best parts of dark souls 2. In my opinion this should have been refined and used for all later souls games as well
  • Legend has it he's still standing behind that tree to this day...
