  • Leaving the room three times really is testament to how much you enjoyed this track. 😀 This was the BabyMetal song that made me a BabyMetal fan all those years ago. Watching the then girls, dance around the stage J-Pop style but what is this, we have metal going on now and the song switches again! My look of disbelief and confusion would have made an excellent memory for me, had it been captured in a photograph. In the original music video, the breakdown section where the BabyMetal ladies are interacting with the crowd before the best absolute death metal drop in their entire repertoire, there is a rap section. So amusing to see Moa and Yui, dressed as rappers.
  • No. Su is definitely NOT screaming. That's a backing track. They've been performing this song for over 10 years and the scream sounds exactly the same. The only song that Su actually screams in is Headbanger. When Su screams it's a higher pitched scream. Momo on the other hand could do it.
  • Great reaction, of course it was.🤘 That was 'so good' (literally since that is what iine means - think thumbs up emoji👍). Like nearly everybody before you, you fell into the trap of calling it Line - don't worry, most people fall into that - it is iine (ee-neh). It was only the second song they released, that was very early in 2012 (it was their third song but IDZ, which was the second song they performed, was released later). They were clearly establishing very early on that all the usual rules of what you can do, what genres you can mix into one song and so on were not going to apply to BABYMETAL. What they did here was they tore up all the rules on how music must fit into one of the many imaginary boxes people have in their minds, then they wrote their own rules ... and they tore them up as well. If they want to have a song with EDM, hip hop (you only got the call & response in the live - please find the official video, its hilarious), death metal and more EDM to finish then that's what they will do. So EDM, a bit of hip hop/rap and then that drop into death metal (they will warn you so you're ready for it in the official video - "Yo yo yo yo. Microphone check, one two one two. Are you ready to mosh? Kitsune da o!") Quite possibly the best drop into death metal from hip hop ever - and then back to the EDM to finish. As the song title suggests - it is so good.👍 In most live versions (as they did here) they swapped the rap and it became a call and response (they kept it in some live performances of course - "BABYMETAL in da house!") ... but that drop is still there. As I said in the live chat, I hate to be the one who breaks it to you, but Su only pretends with screams like that, it wasn't her. Also the growling vocals in the death metal part are explaining the hand sign is not the traditional metal devil horns or maloik,🤘it is the kitsune (fox).🦊

Haha you’re reactions are always hilarious. This is truly an amazing song, and it’s their second song ever! Be sure to check out the Official MV from Babymetal’s channel. It’s even more of a shocker!! 🤘🦊
  • I got goosebumps when I first saw this performance just from the opening notes when the crowd realise they are playing Iine! for the first time in almost 7 years as they never performed it without Yui until Momo's first show as a full member of the group.
  • WOW.........what else can be said..... WOW.. that first scream.. gave me the goosies... WOW
  • Su has never screamed, the demon voice has always been backing track
  • I'm pretty sure the scream is a backing track. Su has been miming it on stage since she was 13.
  • This song is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING live I can't 😭😭😭😭 the energy from the crowd, the amazing techno, the dancing, the crowdwork... I don't know where to start 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
  • The original is pretty dope too. You can see how this song has progressed since its release
  • Great reaction as always 😂❤ Always love your fun reaction🤣🔥💖
  • 💕 ⚡ 🍑 / 👍 They say that two wrongs don't make a right. But that three lefts do. And this song has a lot of sudden left turns. : ) BABYMETAL already had 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' ready to go, but they released this song and 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning' first so they wouldn't be boxed into a single style. This is the probably the ultimate, "Do you like music genres? We smooshed them all into this one song for you." 'Iine!' is still my favorite EDM Dance Rave HipHop Kawaii Metal song of all time. : ) They hadn't performed this song since 2017, but they busted it back out for nine shows last year.
