Hikers find box of newborn puppies near Capital State Forest trailhead

Andrea and Kyle Jordan always look for wildlife while hiking on the McLane Creek Nature Trail. They were not expecting what they found the evening of Aug. 4.

"When we first walked up I heard a cry, it almost sounded like a baby or something,” said Kyle Jordan.

When Andrea Jordan looked inside a box left near the trailhead restroom, she saw it was full of 11 newborn puppies.

Thank God they were found and are now safe.I am glad people are donatig to this rescue.I wish more people would donate money and supplies to Animal Rescue groups in their area.

Just seen this facebook, they are looking for the mother of the pups . The volunteer is exhausted feeding them every two hours

Getting a dog fixed is 500 to a thousand plus dollars and can tske months to get an appointment. It should he FREE!

Being responsible for an animal that one gets comes first. Get them fixed.
