  • It's crazy how Bol looks like she's cruising, but she's actually flying around the track. She ran a 47.93, that's nuts. She also always looks so surprised when she wins. Humility in victory, gotta love it. I'm rooting for the US, but whenever Femke is running, I'm 100% for the Netherlands. Great job!
  • It's crazy because Brown ran faster this time, than when her team broke the world record. Brown did everything right, Bol is just a beast..
  • As an American, I'm so proud of all our athletes. However, the humility and poise Femke exhibits is unmatched and something that all athletes should aspire to. No excuses when she loses and quiet confidence when she wins. So exciting to watch her run!!
  • Saw her do it last year and seeing her do it again, it's just mind boggling how she is able to make up that much distance and win. One can only be awestruck looking at her run like this !
  • Here are the splits posted on the Olympic site. Semis (USA) (NED) Norwood: 44.47 Omalla 45.39 Little: 49.32 Klaver 49.60 Deadmon: 44.17 Klein Ikkink 45.63 Brown: 49.45 Peeters 50.19 3:07.41 WR 3:10.81 Final (USA) (NED) Norwood: 44.50 (+0.03) Omalla 45.30 (-0.09) Little: 49.40 (+0.08) Klaver 49.30 (-0.30) Deadmon: 44.70 (+0.53) Klein Ikkink 44.90 (-0.73) Brown: 49.14 (-0.31) Bol 47.93 3:07.74 3:07.43 NR Guys, please don't blame Kaylyn Brown for getting caught by Femke Bol. Anyone would've gotten caught by her. 47.93 is the 7th fastest female 4x4 anchor split. For reference, only Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone in the modern era of sprints could've matched that level of speed, splitting 47.91 in 2022 for 6th all-time (only using split times for comparisons, not open times). The fastest split is 47.68 by Jarmila Kratochvílová. EDIT: Athing Mu split 48.32 in Tokyo so she would’ve held off Bol. I didn’t mention this before because she didn’t qualify for the Olympics Brown ran a faster split in the finals than in the semis. Everyone else (Norwood, Little, Deadmon) ran slower in the finals. Deadmon ran 0.53 seconds slower, so if anything blame him for not giving Brown enough room between her and Bol. If Deadmon ran under 44.30 that would've been enough of a gap for her to hang on. Also, kudos to the first 3 legs of the Netherlands for running faster splits in the finals. Klaver and Klein Ikkink ran significantly faster splits in the final. And of course, Femke Bol does what she always does.
  • @keinguye
Bol didn’t even look that she tried really hard the last few seconds before the finish line. Amazing!
  • What a cinematic finish for Femke! As an American I was disappointed but as a human I'm so happy for the Netherlands. That must have felt great! Good for her and the team, well deserved. =)
  • Femke was floating like a gazelle the whole crowd went bezerk LOVE IT ! That’s what’s so cool about the best of the best they conserve that energy and then explode at the right time this was beautiful
  • @bguzewi0
Wow. Hats off to the Netherlands and Femke Bol in particular, what an anchor leg! Incredible!
  • @kiptanaka
I like the way Lieke Klaver reacted, you’d think she’d be used to it by now but that’s how amazing Femke is - it never gets old
  • Femke Bol is absolutely amazing! The race between Bol and McLaughlin-Levrone will be an instant classic, both amazing athletes. I look forward to watching them both
  • @tymarls
One of the most amazing finishes I’ve ever seen.
  • @JaYR618
OMG, have watched this about 20x now. Surely one of the greatest Olympic finishes. This is against a US team that broke the world record about 24 hrs earlier. There is nothing the US anchor could have done. I didnt even know about Femke Bol before, now I will never forget her. Goosebumps and an instant legend.
  • Bol is a beast!!!! You gotta give it to her!! The girl is amazing!!!
  • @TBrl8
Femke Bol is a truly generational talent. She was barely out of breath at the end there, wtf!
  • I really like these two commentators, fair an honest and very entertaining and professional 🥰
  • Every single event should have coverage like this. Where is this for the 100m women's final NBC Sports??
  • @kyle5778
Femke is absolutely insane, so impressive. Been following her career a couple years, she's next level.
  • @visi5612
Femke Bol’s strides are so effortless, like she is floating in the air. Can’t help but root for her! <3
  • Some else posted the stats below but Netherlands had anchor Peeters in the semis run 50.19. They swapped out for anchor Bol in the finals who ran 47.93 which made all the difference. Especially since USA anchor Brown ran faster than she did in the semis. (Final:49.14/ Semi:49.45) But also this is redemption for Netherlands Bol after she fell in the 2023 mixed relay. Truly inspiring
