This brought up a lot for myself. My middle child constantly bothered my fourth child while growing up. I was so unawakened unaware of the sadness and pain my daughter felt when her brother wouldn't let her be. Of course hindsight is 20/20 and I worked in therapy to repair my relationship with my daughter who felt she needed me more as a child. As a matter of fact I worked to better all of my relationships with my kids. Connection, to be seen and heard is all children need and desire.
