The engine has a custom steel adaptor plate to mate it to a Volvo penta leg, heat exchanger and raw water pump from a Yanmar 6BY (An of the shelf marine m57) the mainfold is the standard cast iron from the car with no extra cooling other than the waste heat exchanger water exiting through the exhaust. I have also fitted a water cooled intercooler. The wiring loom was done by rallyraid in the UK an m57 specialist.
Any other questions please ask!

The Yanmar 3 litre 6 cylinder is actually a marinised version of the M57

I have a question, is this the most awesome fucking thing ever !?!?

Lovely engine. One of my favourites

A Volvo Penta counter-rotating outdrive would be a good setup. The counter-rotating props setup grips very well which will allow the torque to propell the vessel at optimum. A single prop would slip too much. Silverhawk and Albermarle use these outdrives with optional V8 Mercruiser which is a GM 5.0 or 5.7 platform, or a Yanmar diesel.

Hello, Nice achievement It must have taken you a long time I have an identical project to carry out it is for a twin engine replacing 2 vovo penta AQ151C with 290 SP bases I would like to exchange with you on some technical points - gearbox ratio before / after - cooled exhaust - adapter spacer -modification of the computer and more while waiting for your return again good job D1
