Conspiracy theory: The entire reason ZA exists is because all of the Pokémon that still aren’t available on the Switch are available in base X & Y. This way, no Pokémon would have to be stuck in permanent Pokémon Home limbo.
  • I agree, Gen 5 will be hard to remake but BDSP is a BAD template of how to do a remake. It WASN'T a faithful remake as it DIDN'T have the same moves, same movesets, same everything. On the other side, it wasn't even an improvement either. You had to download half the game onto your console at launch, which makes it anti-future proof, and that's a bad move for consumers.

You neglected to address ORAS formally establishing the multiverse in Pokemon. Zinnia references an alternate universe that would be destroyed by Grand Meteor Delta if it were warped there to protect the ORAS world, implied to be Gen 3 Hoenn. (Which by all accounts turned out to be a relative nothingburger, seeing as Deoxys landed safely on Birth Island with no apparent harm done, but I digress.)

I personally think that Z-A is the direct result of Game Freak having some influence in what they get to create. Given that pokemon Z was cancelled, I can imagine where the desire came from

Imagine a Johto game released today that takes place in modern timeline. I can imagine all the upgrades throughout Johto as time passed while running into older familiar faces

Why they would realese unova remakes without new console and new generation? Legends Z-A realeseing before black and white remakes dont mean anything in my opinion and its meant to close the gap between generations like legenda arceus and lets go did
  • They should make the gens 1-4 regions into a single game. Allow you to choose your starting region and choose your starter from any gen to use in your selected region.

Let's assume they were saving black and white remake for last because it's one of the most significant and beloved pokemon games and the last of the pixel era

I don't think the Legends games were ever supposed to follow the same chronological order as mainline games, Legends ZA's announcement probably doesn't mean much when it comes to remakes. I'd be shocked if gen 5 didn't get a remake in 2027 during gen 10 as the usual pattern suggests (hopefully it will be an actual improvement over the original and not the same game with chibi characters and HD graphics). As for Johto I also don't think it has to get a second remake, Let's Go was mostly made in order to get Pokemon Go players into the main series

The remake of unova needs to be the best game they will ever made. I think they know how much the community loves gen 5. I'd rather wait a little longer than getting the gen 4 treatment... As far as exploration, lore and world build goes, Black and White was the peak of Pokemon. The remakes can't be mediocre.
  • @SBaby
Legends isn't a remake though. It's more of a prequel (and honestly one that alot of people want to see). The next remake is still going to be B/W.
  • @KouzieBaby
Gen 4 hands down the worst remakes ever. :l
  • Scrapping the fun features and attractive designs is a problem with the remakes.
  • @AxelHobo
I don’t think legends ZA is gonna be a remake, more just revisiting kalos since legends is such a different format than the mainline games
  • @TechnoTrainer
The copium to say that there was a reason for BDSP to stay faithful other than money lmao
  • I don’t think legends arceus is considered “remake” that’s why they can do this and not break any trends!
  • @mrawesome1681
I would like to point out that the legends games arent remakes of their corresponding games. You could have easily had BDSP without legends arceus.
  • @HemonGoliath
Another key point I don't see many people addressing is how the legends games can be used as their story based mythical Pokémon distribution. Pokémon like Darkrai and Shaymen were schoolyard legends only achievable through action replay until legends (and eventually BDSP events) and for years they were some of the few Pokémon I had been unable to collect. Legends Z-A have the opportunity to release research tasks to get Pokémon like Volcanion Hoopa and Diance which all are difficult to collect without occasional events on Pokémon go or hacking, and I have a great deal of hope that that will change with Legends Z-A.
  • @notchris681
Bro you got me so hyped for Pokemon and full of hope thanks man keep up the videos bro
  • If you wanna be technical the multiverse lore of pokemon had been in the series since gen 1 for example the two versions being alternate realities Their approach was just more subtle about it
