Design Team Project @rubyandpearlxo Craft With Me | How to create an Open Spine #junkjournal

Published 2024-08-06
Hi everyone! Welcome back, or welcome to my channel if you are new! I’m so happy you’re here!!

Today I’m sharing my Design Team Project for Ruby and Pearl xo. I’m creating some Open Spine Junk Journals! I used the Yellow Rose kit, Creme Brulee, and a few other favorites (all listed below). This is a Craft with Me Tutorial, and journal flip through! My inspiration for today’s project comes from Heather who created a stunning Open Spine  journal with a wonderful tutorial that I’ll link below. You can also see pictures @stonenest55 on Instagram.

You can find all of Heather’s beautiful kits in her Etsy shop linked below.

These  journals are available FOR SALE upon completion, but you can comment below or message me on Instagram or through my ETSY shop to reserve now! I hope you enjoy today’s video and will find some  inspiration here too! I appreciate every one of you being here, and I am so grateful for your friendship and love on all my videos! Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share xoxo

  • Oh these turned out so pretty!!! I am so glad you shared creating these!!! I think that binding style is so easy and always turns out so pretty!! Love love how you used those papers for the cover.. everything is stunning! Thank you Meredith! 😘💕💕 Also you can use a flat iron curling iron to iron your sari.. easy and quick!
  • Helllo, Meredith, so happy to be here . Oh my goodness, I love the image you chose for the cover !! And one of my favorite wall papers of Heathers as well as one of my favorite junkjournal binding methods ! Remember seeing this “series” of hers on the graphic fairy! Thank you so very much for brining it back ! And you have truly done a wonderful job. Everything is gorgeous, Meredith. Love the lace you chose for your journal as well ! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week xx Cheryl 💜

Hello Meredith, The simple collected beauty of these just draws you in. The neutral colors just lift your imagination in every direction. I can’t wait to see what you do with them ❤ xoxo
  • Beautifully done, Meredith! I love this process….a winner every time. Always and always love Heather’s images!❤❤

These are so beautiful Meredith! I love all of your choices for paper, lace and ribbons!💕
  • Those turned out so pretty Meredith! The lace pieces and the images are just perfect for this kind of journal. ❤😘
  • @JournalBreeze
Love how they turned out Meredith!! Heather's papers are so gorgeous, as are your lace hinges. The white hinges you didn't use would look beautiful with the black and white flower cover you mentioned. TFS!💕💕
  • Oh Heather - I love both of these and thanks so much for the tutorial. I have always wanted to make one of these!
  • They’re both so lovely Meredith and love the papers you put together, Iove that Crème Brûlée kit as well as the gorgeous Yellow Rose print. Yes, I do iron sari silks sometimes at really low setting, but most of the time they just look great wrinkly😍
  • I love the simplicity of these. Beautiful! and can’t wait to get the digitals. Crème Brûlée.Yellow Rose and wallpapers 🥰
  • @VintiqueChic
So beautiful Meredith ! I love the digitals and lace that you used. So inspiring!
  • I love these, Meredith! I just watched Heather’s tutorial (for the umpteenth time, lol) and here you are with these beauties! I’ll take it as a sign that I should make one as my next journal. I agree with you about the cover on the second one…soooo pretty. The sari and lace really compliments it, too. Oh, and I don’t iron my sari…I like it crumpled! Thank you, Meredith…😊💕
  • These are darling Meredith! I’ve always loved this style of creating a journal. It’s just soooo dreamy😍😍😍
  • Oh, Meredith, this is soooo inspiring❤❤ this is on my to do list! Thank you so much for sharing ❤

This is such a pretty way to create a quick but super gorgeous little journal. Beautiful papers and lace you used. Thanks so much for sharing. 😍 Will definetely re-watch Heather's video as well.🥰
  • The neutral palette is wonderful, love the cover image ❤ I've been watching Heather's video again recently too, the rustic style of the open spine is very appealing.
