Tsar Bomba, (Russian: “King of Bombs”) , also called Big Ivan, Soviet thermonuclear bomb that was detonated in a test in the Arctic Ocean on October 30, 1961. The largest nuclear weapon ever set off, it produced the most powerful human-made explosion ever recorded – 50,000 kT, nearly 4,000 times more powerful compared to 15 kT of Nagasaki that whipped out 300k people at the first strike. The Tsar bomb had the capacity for 100,000 kT (8000 x more powerful) but was considered too dangerous to test. That was 1961, 62 years ago. With proof of concept comes development. One wonders how far the development of such powerful devastating bombs has come..I'd rather be happily trading cheap oil, gas and food than be fighting. Don't wake a sleeping Bear.

How ridiculous and irresponsible to suggest that Russia threatened nuclear war. No such threat has ever been made. Putin has said many times that Russia will never be the first to attack with nuclear weapons, but will respond in kind (massively) if attacked. And that is essentially the same policy as that of the US.
