Lyrics:
As you promised me that I was more than all the miles combined
You must've had yourself a change of heart like halfway through the drive
Because your voice trailed off exactly as you passed my exit sign
Kept on drivin' straight and left our future to the right
Now I am stuck between my anger and the blame that I can't face
And memories are somethin' even smoking weed does not replace
And I am terrified of weather 'cause I see you when it rains
Doc told me to travel, but there's COVID on the planes
And I love Vermont, but it's the season of the sticks
And I saw your mom, she forgot that I existed
And it's half my fault, but I just like to play the victim
I'll drink alcohol 'til my friends come home for Christmas
And I'll dream each night of some version of you
That I might not have, but I did not lose
Now you're tire tracks and one pair of shoes
And I'm split in half, but that'll have to do
So I thought that if I piled something good on all my bad
That I could cancel out the darkness I inherited from Dad
No, I am no longer funny 'cause I miss the way you laugh
You once called me "forever," now you still can't call me back
And I love Vermont, but it's the season of the sticks
And I saw your mom, she forgot that I existed
And it's half my fault, but I just like to play the victim
I'll drink alcohol 'til my friends come home for Christmas
And I'll dream each night of some version of you
That I might not have, but I did not lose
Now you're tire tracks and one pair of shoes
And I'm split in half, but that'll have to do
Oh, that'll have to do
My other half was you
I hope this pain's just passin' through
But I doubt it
And I love Vermont, but it's the season of the sticks
And I saw your mom, she forgot that I existed
And it's half my fault, but I just like to play the victim
I'll drink alcohol 'til my friends come home for Christmas
And I'll dream each night of some version of you
That I might not have, but I did not lose
Now you're tire tracks and one pair of shoes
And I'm split in half, but that'll have to do
Have to do

Goosebumps listening to the crowd singing with Noah 🥹

Just a normal dude trying his hardest to make his dreams come true. Now he has RED ROCKS singing HIS song TO HIM! These types of stories make me believe this world isn’t so bad after all.

I've lived in Vermont and Maine pretty much my whole adult life. Man oh man, does this song speak to the essence of stick season. Anyone who doesn't know, stick season is after the leaves fall and before the snow falls. You're coming off a beautiful summer and a gorgeous foliage season. Ahead of you is Christmas and the fun of winter (yeah winter is fun for vermonters. Skiing, snowmobiling, all that). But stick season, you're stuck in the in between. It's chilly, it's damp, it's gray and dreary. You've lost the beauty and joy of the last season, but you can't move on to the beauty of the next season. You're just waiting in cold and gray. Drinking alcohol and coping.

the fact the whole crowd started singing straight away must of been an insane feeling.

As a musician, the feeling of hearing your words sang back to you on any scale (Nevermind this insane scale) has to be one of the most rewarding things a person can experience. Nothing in the world feels like it.

we need this on Spotify, a crowd shouting song lyrics might be my favorite sound
  • Remembering how when I first found you, you were only a channel on YouTube and pretty depressed most of the time and no one knew your name....so proud of your achievements!! I love you Noah❤❤❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

All songs are better at Red Rocks. Even the BEST songs are the best at Red Rocks. What a moment!

I feel happy seeing Noah finally getting the recognition he deserves

So epic to see a man's song go from his head to the lips of thousands of people. This guy is raw.

The first time I saw Noah play in 2019, I got to ask him when he would play Red Rocks. Four years later, I got to see it come to fruition live and in person. A highlight of my entire life.

Every once in a while, now & then, along comes a song that even as a 45 year old man, I go full fangirl over a song.....I just fucking LOVELOVELOVE this!!
  • @TomTheOwl68
Dude you deserve the fame. Not only for singing but the song writing. Stay real.
  • @drugreen123
This song saved my life in 2022 and still helps me. Thank you, sincerly, so much.

I was at a camp this week, and we sang songs at night time before bed. This was one of the only songs that was played (we were in NH) and I played the ukulele. I sang while playing my heart out, it's one of my core memories. I love this song with all my heart. I love you, Noah ♥♥

The Goosebumps running all down that man's spine must be utterly insane. Good for Noah, I'm so happy for him. It just shows, you have to keep trying, and it just takes one song. This is the reason I write my own original music. It may never get me anywhere, but I manifest that it does every day, and I'll continue to play them at all of my local gigs until maybe one day it does. 🙏❤

I was lucky enough to be there, and this video only began to capture the magic of that night. Seeing this in person was one of the best experiences of my life!

This was such an unreal concert... don't think I have ever heard a Red Rocks crowd THAT loud
