I'm a combat veteran (Army Medic, E-6, ret.), and the sad part is JD Vance criticized a soldier for their military service. Walz was not only a Command Sergeant Major (CSM) but also served for 24 years, vs. Vance's 4 years. Even four years of service is more than 97% of Americans can claim, but to try and score points on Walz's 24-year record of service? Shameful. Lastly, my cousin was an E-8 as a Marine and was passed up for his E-9 twice. He decided to get out because he didn't have a third attempt in him. E-9 is very hard to achieve. To McGrath's point, the difference (not rank, respect) between a Corporal and a CSM is like that between a Lieutenant and a General. HUGE difference. Hooah!!

We choose joyful warriors over the Grumpy old man.. We choose compassionate leaders over hateful leaders. We choose respectful leaders over disrespectful leaders. We choose leaders who lay out the plans for our FUTURE over leaders who want to take us backwards. What part of "we don't want to go back!" Don't the GOP don't they understand? I really do feel the joy! Its been so long since I've felt real hope. And joy! She is a ray of sunshine. trump is grey skies and doom and gloom.

It’s despicable of Vance to put down another veteran! I worked with the Vietnam vets in early ‘70s…there was limited to no help for mental health case management services and supportive services for these vets. So when I learned of the help for our vets…brought tears of delight for our vets.

Biden was one of the best, if not the best, President in my lifetime.

Haven't felt so lighthearted and optimistic since trump first reared his angry face years ago. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, and President Biden, have brought dignity and morality, and just plain manners and respect, back to the Nation. Feels like the real USA again.

My joy is about hearing politicians knowing they will work for us,not themselves. They know how to do their job!
