The wildest thing to me is that the cars in the CGI have fewer polygons than those in the first Need for Speed Underground game! Like they could have literally lifted models off Sketchup or any other repository but no, let's render something that looks like it came from the Nintendo 64!
  • This is why you ALWAYS try top speed runs next to the mattress factory. I’ve always said that.

This is a true story man. I was once part of a rough crowd. Only reason i survived is because my MX5 was flying so high i went way over all piles of sh.t 😎😲
  • Kelly (shows the concepts): "...and you see those lines that i drew behind the car? That means it can go really really fast." Rick: "...amazing!"

Let’s just give props to the poor guy who bled the whole compressor, took the glass out of the gauge, glued the MPH tag on it, put it back, and patiently recorded the working noisy thing till it reached 160 psi to use, like, half a second of the whole thing

This is what happens when the director takes "do it in post" to an extreme without having the budget to back it up.

Oh man, I remember watching this years ago. Hilariously bad. From the $80k 370Z to the PS1 cutscene CGI I was just beside myself 😄
  • This feels so much like the plot of the Need for Speed Film: -Friend/Brother dies driving sports car. -Race to avenge friend/brother -Car wrecks -Final car is a stolen car that harkens back to the reason behind the race. I know it's a generic plot but I can't be the only one seeing it.
  • You have to appreciate the dedication when they have CGI for car stunts and still use the wrong car.
  • I lost it at "you can't shoot him, they'll know it was a gun" He's got a point 🤔🤣🤣

Dude the guy who was recording the cop with a radio cell phone is an absolute legend 💀
  • @DariusSinclair
Justin staring at the camera as his co-hosts lose their shit is the best part of this video.
  • @RIBZ85
When she showed her plans and they looked like a child drew them I was laughing hysterically that was so funny
  • Can we take a moment to appreciate the special effects of the movie

The crazy thing is, that the director of this film actually has over 350 stunt credits to his name with some actually notable movies in all of that direct to dvd pile of mentions. I would really love to know more about these people behind the asylum films or whatever Steven segal puts out

Back around 2015 I met the Visual Effects lead at "The Asylum", the production company that works on, and distributes a lot of these "mockbuster" style movies. There was a small presentation at a local bar where he showed off his VFX reel, and he answered some questions about the company. Basically, when asked about why they focus so heavily on these really bizarre, and often terrible movies, his answer was that they provided an opportunity for new film makers to get a grip on how movies are actually made, and to help give people entering the industry of film making, and VFX work, a shot at an entry level position working on a movie that will actually be released to the public so they can get some experience. These movies are often shot very quickly, and very cheaply, but it gives people who have never worked on a full production the chance to do just that. At the time, he said they aim to release about 4 movies a year... that number may not be accurate anymore. This movie was made for just 200k, and made in about 1 year.
  • Guys, we have a bigger problem here. @ 11:35 the "nitrous" is labeled NO2. But... Nitrous is N2O. So he's injecting toxic NOx gas into his engine 🤔
  • @JinFTW
I've LITERALLY seen a Hot Wheels movie with the same premise and plot. 😂
