Lesson learned. If you're thinking of going out into the wilderness for a bit of peace, best to be packing... a flame thrower.
  • I aint going in the woods! I'm a Brit with no connection to Indigenous Americans whatsoever but I'm just fascinated by their folklore. Love these stories, Josh!
  • So in the first story, the two men who were in charge of camping with young kids decided to not even check on the only girl when she screamed. Wtf man, these men should not be looking after people's kids! They should have properly looked after the mong told them there was a bloke in the bushes...

24:44 "Ran away on all fours at a fictional speed." Hahaha, it always knows when-di-go.
  • @devonjackson4330
.. dude hears THE ONLY GIRL CAMPER scream and doesnt even ask if shes alright? I mean there are millions of possibilities and my anxiety issues could never allow me to ignore someone in distress..
  • @brittnyrv5087
Im on the spectrum and I always notice the weird things too. One time I saw a bobcat just chilling, watching us at a campsite. By the time I pointed it got up and just slinked off. Made me look dumb... 😅

It’s actually always a good idea not to respond to the voice from deeper into the woods that randomly knows your name and/or the approximate voice of a familiar person or loved one, it’s not normal. Remember anything not normal in the woods is worth at least 10 in town. One in the hand two in the bush and all that bird stuff. Same goes for any urban locations that can act as isolation points, even if just barely, away from other people who’d likely stop something if they were seeing something, like don’t go into a different room with a stranger you’re unfamiliar with and do drugs with that stranger and become best friends that night because that only happens super rarely and you’d still have to be pretty stupid to trust a stranger like that. Stay safe out there YouTube.
  • I live near the woods, I am walking around a trail line and listening to your videos, I love this especially at night with a flashlight, I love these folklore stories.
  • 19:45 Oh... I remember this story. Bedtime Stories covered this in a video called Lair of the Wendigo. Yeah, dude's dog bolts near the back of the property, starts going into "Get the ** off of my master's property!" mode and the guy hears his girlfriend's voice and then his dad's voice from within the woods. The guy proceeds to shine his flashlight at a patch of trees near his '11 O' Clock', and sees a 12 foot tall pasty-white creature strangling one of the trees with a deathgrip standing upright.

Was walking through the woods today lighting up then I thought of this cryptid and at that exact moment thinking i was just being paranoid I heard a freaky ass yelp noise behind me and felt chills. This was a ballpark trail I been on many times.
  • I too am not going in the woods. I'm in the process of getting ready to look for acres in the UP MI n go Off Grid. I'm 80 yr old female. Am fearless. Don't scare easy and am level headed. Hope I don't run into anything in my forest. Love your channel, thank you.

From my admittedly pretty limited experience in the wilderness, I was taught by my father to never investigate a woman's scream or a child's cry without being ready to have to fight a mountain lion. They can closely replicate those sounds to lure humans into a hunt.
  • Your channel is my go-to during spooky season. You’re like the modern Rod Serling.
  • @amandacox4211
I ain't going into the woods!!! My idea of camping is renting a hotel room!!
  • @justinlush2888

  • @mikeohms1699

  • @lababyla777
I dont know whats scarier the creature shaking the tent or the fact she was the only girl on that trip....the night is dark and full of terrors
  • @reikilady4216
We are living in a time where the unseen can now be seen, people. Please tread lightly.❀

I like the shorter format videos. I also like your long videos, a lot. These shorter videos are better for listening to as I am settling in at night, or when I just have less time to indulge in the pleasure of the longer stories. Thank you for your content, and for sharing your talent as a storyteller with us. You carry on a tradition that stretches back to our earliest human ancestors, and it's a real joy to experience.
