A completely stock Fiat 124 Spider Abarth vs a Eurocompulsion Phase 1 Tune. How much quicker is it, and is a tune worth it for the 1.4L MultiAir engine? This is not a race, but a before and after showcasing some statistical data I collected. New Updated Results:    • 124 Spider Abarth Stock vs Eurocompul...

There are some key points I touch base on in the video so I highly recommend to watch the entire video if you’re interested in tuning the 1.4L multiair engine found in our 124 Spiders. I do have some timestamps below as well to make it easier to find some key points.

We compare my Abarth 124 Spider when it was completely stock vs. having full bolt-ons and a Phase 1 tune by Eurocompulsion. Tuning the 124 Spider definitely wakes it up and it should have come like this from the factory! There are a few tuning companies for this car so do your research and decide who you want to go with, but I definitely recommend a tune in general if you're looking to get some more power out of your 124 Spider. Killing it with the videos. High quality and effort, and you really get into the numbers. Keep it up!
  • @EUROCOMPULSION
As always great content! Very good point on the mods! Looking forward to more videos brother!
  • This is a sweet car. I’m a little behind on mods with just a EC Phase 1. It’s good to learn what potential is out there.
  • i’m thinking about buying one of these this week and it’s crazy you just posted this while i was searching for videos on mods for this car

Interesting ....... and well done. The mods to my A124 are extremely the same as yours - Ragazzon, Eibach, Oz Racing, V4. However I not got the cross-pipe and down pipe, the cross pipe is possibly in the pipeline but the down pipe unlikely as I want to keep the noise a bit more on the downlow. But the big difference is I have the Tork 1+ tune. I am happy as !!! Transformed the car.

I like your work here. Very scientific and reproduceable.

Nice work, I have subscribe to see the next video of Phase 1 vs FMIC + Phase 2. Cheers

I'm getting the Tork tune in March, as soon as the car is out of storage. I really need to find and make a decision about a Crosspipe, because you're right. Just the Axle back is not enough to see a ton of power gains.
  • @TorkMotorsports
The 20 degree difference screwed any viable results from this test. 20 degrees, and sub freezing temps, going to make a 20 WHP difference alone. Need to retest when temps come back up and get validated results.

Looks good! I wanna start modding and tuning mine soon. All I've done is a system one cat back 2.5 in crossover, and progress technology springs. I wanted to get a new downpipe because that's the first thing to mod on turbo cars to get more power but I don't know jack about doing flashes and ecu tunes. I can do the work on everything else but I don't wanna brick my ecu. Is stage 1 tune just plug and play or do I have to find a dyno shop?
  • @mikeb1039
Stock turbo output at 14-15lbs? Abarth takes it to 22lbs to produce a whopping 4 hp more in sport mode? So what does it take to make another 20hp to 180? 200hp????? Yowza that's got to be some crazy turbo numbers and crazy bad on gas.
  • @gnrfan713
How much horse power increase yo think?
  • Hey just ordered one off your website. Forgot to select automatic. Could you change that before shipping? Also is the phase 2 along with pops and bangs already on there or do I have to purchase that separately?
  • Go Phase 2 at least. I have Phase 3 with a stuffed turbo. Power is gnarly.
