Boxing’s bright lights return to Las Vegas this weekend and you don’t want to miss this highly anticipated match up!

This Saturday, former IBF champion, Caleb Plant, challenges Super Middleweight star David Benavidez on Showtime Pay Per View in a geated rivalry that stems beyond the ring. Ahead of his title bout, Caleb sits with Fred, Ryan and Channing to talk about his journey and why this fight means so much to him and opens up on how the emotion surrounding the two fighters isn’t just for entertainment but is real.

Growing up life wasn’t easy and boxing wasn’t a hobby, it became a way out for Caleb and now, it’s a way of life for the former champion as he continues to etch his name atop the sport.

Detailing his heartbreak of his young daughter’s illness and her passing, Caleb emotionally shares how his life changed and how he was able to find strength in family and the will to keep fighting inside the ring. Losing his daughter Alia and also his mother shortly after, Caleb’s motivation to be one of boxing’s greats was fueled by his love of family and support from his best friend and now wife, Jordan. The foundation of his marriage is the structure if everything he does and fights for after recently welcoming their newest addition to the family, daughter Charly.

Coming off a win in the fall after a loss to Canelo Alvarez last spring, Caleb understands what’s at stake and is prepared to go to war this Saturday to win in the title and hand Benavidez his first loss. Caleb knows the sport comes with a good amount of trash talking but when someone talks about another man’s wife or children, it’s not reversible or forgotten…and Caleb is on a mission to let his opponent know there’s no coming back from what was said. It’s not enough to stand across from someone, it’s about having your hand raised when the final bell rings.

Tune into Showtime Pay Per View Saturday March 25th at 9pm est for the full card of fights ending with the main event between Plant and Benavidez.

Tap in every Tuesday at noon eastern for our premiere episode of the Pivot. Special drops on Friday afternoons at 3:30 pm. We are your one-stop platform for all your sports and entertainment content.

  • Caleb was so emotional talking about daughter. His voice was cracking it was so hard to talk about. His daughter was a fighter too, he recognized that in his daughter.
  • Him talking about the daughter he lost… giiiiid damn I felt ALL that weight in his body language, facial expression, voice and breathing. Straight had me in tears.😢
  • It takes a helluva man for Caleb to have gotten through this. I teared up.
  • Caleb outside the ring is a absolutely “G” that man has been threw a lot outside the ring! I can’t do nothing but root for this man!!! Let go Caleb!!!!
  • Win or lose Saturday night. Caleb has already won. Heart wrenching story about his daughter. Hard not to root for this cat. Man! Glad he made it through the storm.
  • Caleb is a real one and I truly hope people appreciate his boxing skills and talent. His work in the ring is sublime and I LOVE how serious he’s always been about his craft.

I'm in awe of the research they put into these interviews man, and being able to remember certain things to a tee. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
  • This interview made a fan out of me! Pure, unadulterated transparency right there. Much respect to Caleb Plant

there are no words to describe that level of pain and it never goes away. There’s no getting past it. This was painful for all fathers and it takes something away from you forever. You’re different as a person forever
  • @TGPI
A lot of deep breaths and fighting back tears from Caleb Plant, when talking about his daughter. Powerful interview, with new found respect for him. I've had two kids in the hospital 30 plus days... it's not easy. In those moments they define who you are, because life goes on. Keep grinding and keep on pushing Caleb. You guys are awesome...moments transition from serious to light-hearted easily. This has become my therapy session hearing other people stories. RC, Chan and Fred...prayers, peace, love, and may God keep you safe, healthy and strong.🙏🏾✌🏾♥️💪🏾🛡️
  • Caleb's calm presence when talking about struggles and things that can be Earth shattering to most shows that he was built for the things that he wants to achieve.

I'll admit, I wasn't big on Plant a few years back but he's earned his dues. Great fighter - skilled, disciplined, and with heart. Pumped for the Benavidez fight!!
  • This pulled at my heartstrings tremendously. Having Caleb describes in detail the journey of his daughter and her fight and her will to live, only to come to terms that it was not to be. My prayers are with Caleb and his family. WOW! Caleb, I am going to always pull for you. Congratulations PIVOT on another fantastic podcast.
  • Man I'm rooting for this guy from now on great interview.
  • I don't know how he made it through without crying. That shit hurts just watching/listening, and having kids myself, this hurts to hear. I wish Caleb the best!
  • Strong, resilient man. To handle the life hurdles. Huge heart and determination and will power. 🙏💪
  • Sometimes we forget these athletes are normal. Caleb talking about his daughter really hit me hard. Always make sure to tell your kids you love them each and every day ❤️
