Would you like to calm down your busy mind to be able to drift off into a deep sleep? This guided sleep talkdown deep sleep for busy minds meditation will help you relax your mind and body.

Sleep is essential for good physical and mental health. And recent studies have shown that a good night’s sleep can help reduce anxiety sensations the following day.

But of course, some people have sleep issues that cause frustration. So sleep then becomes associated with negative emotions. You might even go to bed with expectations that you’ll never be able to sleep. But trying too hard to make sleep happen often has the opposite effect.

Being able to shut off your racing mind is important when you can’t sleep. This talkdown will take you through steps to help you achieve this.

Here are some extra tips for better sleep:
• Everyone has individual sleep needs. Yes, it would be great to get 8 hours every night. But your hormones, age, whether you’re a night owl or early bird, whether you work shifts or going through emotional changes will all impact how much sleep you can get or need. So, there is no need to stress too much. Your body will get the rest it needs if you start placing more emphasis on relaxation.
• Take steps to reduce hyperarousal (too stimulated by day to slow down and rest at night), by creating a bedtime routine.
• Avoid caffeine after 12noon.
• Avoid alcohol before bedtime, as it is a sedative and will make you drowsy but not ready for deep restorative sleep.
• Write a thorough to-do list five minutes before bed.
• When you wake up spend time in the morning light and embrace the new day.
• Even on weekend’s go to bed and wake up at the same time every day.
• Exercise is important to reduce a busy mind, but don’t do cardiovascular exercise up to 2 hours before bedtime.
• Keep your bedroom at a cool temperature.
• If you take sleep medication and want to stop, DO NOT STOP taking medication abruptly. It is always safer to taper down the dose under medical supervision.

Sweet dreams!
❤ Clare

So nice to see another British girl on YouTube doing sleep meditation videos too! You work is really great I love this meditation can't wait to listen to it properly tonight!
  • This is the video! The cadence of your voice, the familiar british accent, so comforting 😴

Your meditations help me get sleep at night; I don’t get sleep without them. They have help me heal my stomach and aid in digestion. They help with lifetime anxiety and depression without harmful side effects of drugs. I love the affirmations that remind me of the truth of my being. My deepest gratitude.
  • I’ve been listening to this talk down for so long it definitely makes me fall asleep quicker I use to take about 40 minutes to get to sleep now I take about 10 minutes I fall asleep way quicker I’m so happy 😀:)
  • I've done so many sleep mediations in the past year trying to get my sleep schedule on track, and this is the first one that has worked! I am usually asleep within 15 minutes of this one. And the quality of my sleep is so much more restful and deep, I've been waking up feeling like I actually got sleep! Crazy right? 😂

I love this. I usually can’t fall asleep to things like this but this particular video helped so fast.

Hi Clare I found your video quite by chance and I'm so glad I did. Your soothing voice didn't help me to sleep (it's almost impossible for me to switch off and let go at the best of times) but listening your voice and the imaginary setting softened me (much like a child listening to a bedtime story) It was lovely, truly lovely and I'm thankful for you being on YouTube and even more so that you've made these videos not to make money but to give so many people something amazing. I suffer from anxiety and I'm also autistic (hence my long winded comment) I will play your videos each night as I try to relax and unwind........... Thank you, you're a wonderful human being with the most beautiful narrative voice 🥰🤗
  • It's my second time listening tonight. Fell asleep in 5 minutes. I'm playing into the middle part to hear it! 🙏 Thank you!
  • I can’t stop commenting on this video it’s just amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Dear Claire, I have never commented on your videos but now, I must! I have listened to this particular video and your "Under the Stars" video over the last 2 years, in the middle of EVERY night. Basically, I need to get up in the middle of the night and always have a problem in getting back to sleep. Your two videos have been SO helpful to me, in my quest to try and fall back to sleep. I love your calm voice, and love how you conduct the video in what you say. Also, I love the background music and acoustic sounds. Thank you so much. I have tried to find one or two additional videos on your channel that have the same theme as the above two - if you could kindly suggest, that would be fantastic. You are brilliant!

You know lying here doing this meditation. It’s wonderful. But when I lie down, I can’t breathe through my nose. And breathing through the nose helps you relax easier and more quickly.

I've listend to this audio many times for sleep/naps but never commented on it because I fall asleep before the end and forget to comment😂. Thank you for creating and sharing these meditations with us!!

Found this video a few hours ago. Started listening to it and fell asleep not long into the meditation. It is a lovely surprise to find a female British voice being used. And what a beautiful delicate soothing voice. I am going to check more of the channels videos to see if the rest are just as good. Might be hard to top this one 😀. Can I just say a big thank you to whoever made this video. 💜
