I've been waiting for this work since last year. I’m 55 y.o. old man. But I can't stop crying as I remember myself 40 years ago. Thank you and Congratulations on your graduation!

The biggest compliment I have to give is that you're amazing at creating atmosphere with colours, and you know just the right ones to use for lighting.

This broke my heart into tiny pieces and then proceeded to duct tape it back together again. (This animation is amazing the colors are so vibrant like a childhood memory❤)

Soooo beautiful <3 With the airplane this gave me Ghibli's vibe

I've been waiting for this, and boy was it worth it! This is amazing! The story, the animation, the music, the voice acting are all so well done, and Kai and Leo's dynamic is so wholesome and adorable! I especially loved that little teaser at the end! Giving us assurance that they reunite when they're older! I would absolutely love to see more of these two!

Can't believe it's the same two from your other film! It's a bit nostalgic seeing Kai and Leo again after all this time, it feels like growing up with them a bit xD Glad to see they're still in each other's lives, no matter what.

I remember watching Summer Roads and loving the plot and art style, so when I saw this was a continuation of those characters and their story I was so excited to watch this! Amazing work once again!!!!

This captures such a real and intense feeling that I personally and probably many others have felt. The ending, to me, somehow adds a dimension of time to it as well - as intense as it feels, to be separated from a friend by distance, especially for the first time, it can also be such a fleeting fear as the friendship grows into something that even geography can't shake. This was both heartbreaking and healing to watch, thank you for sharing <3

OH MY GOSHHHHHH THE LAST TWO SHOTS PLEASEEE OH MY GOSH LOOK AT THE BABIES ALL GROWN UP i've fallen in love with these characters. and this art feels like a warm summer afternoon in childhood, so so extremely strongly. and i'm just obsessed. such a great job. such incredible work.

i remember seeing summer roads a couple years ago and was delighted to see a sequel! beautiful work, i love the nuance and beauty of it! <3
  • This feels like weaponized whimsy (im using whimsy instead of childhood because i believe these emotions can happen at any age and im not using nostalgia cuz nostolgia is a bi-product of your memory making the past seem better than what it really was like.) The background music is calm The colours feel pure The relationship between the characters is so close This feels like the anti-thesis of stressful, polluted shallow-bonds life. This feels like the idealisation people think back to with nostolgia That investment of course then leads to the audience being invested in the climax The only thing i can comment on about the climax is that im interested in how it wasnt a problem that had to be solved, it waa a problem that had to be endured. And thus we were see these characters lives change. We were seeimg these characters gtown and live their lives

Beautiful work ❤. I love the little beat at the end. An acquaintance once told me “adult friendships are so hard to navigate.” And it’s so true. That’s why I don’t have any. But I loved this short film.
