I've heard 'landing at own risk' for helicopters, but not used to hearing it at a towered field. too long of a runway, too many planes in the way, so radio calls were a combination of ctaf/advisory/tower.

0:00 always start at zero
0:09 turning final
0:28 shut down on taxiway
0:59 extend for 737
2:18 737 going to paint

3:00 bump during gumps check
3:27 turning base
3:43 see ya

  • Hha! Nice i love victorville. They are soo helpful. Millionaire is awesome there too!
  • FYI. 17 is longest civilian runway on this side of the Mississippi River. I've always wanted to do a touch and go on 17, but usually 21 is the active.

What 'limited visibility' are they referring to?

Could this be solved by a CCTV camera at the far end of the runway?
