A white ceiling will give you a more classic vibe, which goes well with your decoration style. I'd even leave the trim white, if you ask me.

Keep the ceiling white. Look at the outside corners on the cabinets on either side of the fireplace. You may be able to use them as a guide for the outside corners on the fireplace.

Coving is next on the list for my home. I agree it just finishes a room. I am a traditionalist and would keep the coving white if skirting is white.x

Light ceilings go up, and any colour goes down. Your room will look smaller. If you paint the coving the same colour as the ceiling it will look bigger. You're such a crafty lady. And goodness, young cats ๐

I feel your pain with the external corners on the chimney breast. I remember doing mine years ago and it hurt my brain so much and I wasted a lot of coving but YouTube came to my rescue eventuallyโฆ.Iโm a very visual person so I needed to see someone cutting them so it made sense to my brain ๐. Youโve done a fantastic job as always Catherine. Living room looks so lovely xx

White ceiling . It will make your trim stand out. You can paint the rosette the wall color. It will be a great feature.
