WHY I LOST INTEREST IN VIDEO GAMES ✨🥱🎮

Published 2023-08-01
I open up about how video games just don't do it for me anymore and how it's okay to move on from a hobby that no longer serves you. I will be approaching my 30’s next year and I find that my priorities are changing. Which means you won’t be seeing any more gaming content on this channel. However, my old gaming videos will still be up. I’ll always be a gamer at heart but I prefer to explore other aspects of life. With that being said, I will continue to dedicate the rest of my time here on YouTube making vlogs and sharing my experiences. ‪@RealCynicalGamer‬ is one of my favorite gaming channels on YouTube. His video expresses my sentiments towards losing interest in video games as an adult. 😎

The reason I lost interest in gaming is very similar to yours. I would also add that the video game industry itself became very self indulgent and lackluster in it’s creativity. I felt like it wasn’t putting me the gamer first anymore. It was a combination of me leaving games and games leaving me.

So I just randomly checked my YouTube Studio notifications and it showed that I was tagged in your video. I can't thank you enough for creating this amazing video response! Your support truly means the world to me, and it's incredibly heartwarming to hear that I'm one of your favorite content creators. Knowing that my content has inspired you to create a video is such an incredible feeling – it's what keeps me motivated and passionate about what I do. I just watched your video, and I must say, you did an outstanding job! Your insights and creativity shine through, and it's evident how much effort you put into it. Your unique perspective and the way you articulated your thoughts were truly impressive. Keep up the fantastic work! I can't wait to see more from you in the future. Once again, thank you for your support and for being such an awesome part of our community. You're amazing!

Idk why this got recommended to me as I haven't seen your channel before? Looking across your videos, I definitely don't see a lot of gaming-related content on your channel. Just playthroughs of Kingdom Hearts III and one video about your video game collection (which seems to be focused on licensed titles from the PS2/GC/XB gen). Which leaves me with the impression of "Jesus, I wouldn't be interested in games anymore either if THIS was what I'd experienced." So like, can't blame you.
