My dopamine when I see a new A&O video: 📈⬆

Back in 2013, I had no energy or stamina, had bad night sweats, and since I didn't have any insurance, I went to an Urgent Care facility. They ran blood work, lung scan, and an EKG. The doctor said everything looked great, so he prescribed me Prozac. I had been taking care of my mother as her caregiver, so this doctor just assumed it was stress and depression causing the issues. I told him that I had been spending time in a house with mold issues, but he said that had nothing to do with my problems, said something would have shown up in the labs if that was the case. I took the Prozac for 6 months and the only thing that changed was the inability to reach orgasm when with a girl I was seeing, which was depressing in itself. The doc upped the dosage, but still no energy. My overall health did not get better until I stopped spending any time in the house with mold issues. I realized that you really can't count on our healthcare system to thoroughly investigate your issues, they just blame stress and give you an SSRI prescription.

You’re starting something incredibly valuable here. The alignment with the subject matter and your passion is obvious here. Keep it up!

Amazing video, pregnenalone has been a game changer for me during the colder months when my body wants to go into hibernation mode! Keeps me motivated and joyful 😊 Thank you for the great content as always
  • you should have 1 million subscribers bro, I'm from Morocco and i study Dietetics and Nutrition, and you know, Nutrition is a scam 😂
  • Amazing video just like the serotonin one but you really shouldve talked about things like playing videogames or taking dopamine inducing drugs etc because we are told theyre horrible because of how they produce “easy dopamine” but there has to be more to it

This new style of your videos is great! Reliable info as always 👌 Your instagram post also got me hyped for the video and I have a sepcific question about it; In the post you've mentioned that heme iron is involved in dopamine synthesis, is it the same for nonheme? Have you didn't include nonheme bcs of it's bioavailability or a different absorption pathway compared to heme? Cheers from Poland, keep up the great work!

Your on camera skills are great. You're not like a lot of other people who seem to freeze up and come across like talking statues. Don't change anything just be yourself.
  • The dopamine fasting thing is incredibly frustrating to me, because it's a complete bastardization of the original intent. The guy that coined the phrase regrets it, he basically thought the name was catchy. The purpose was to reduce compulsive behavior by limiting your access to to things that lead to said compulsive behaviour, like your phone.

Great vid, I def like the new format.
  • @peteregan9038
Definitely like the new format. Do you have any tricks for someone who metabolizes caffeine slowly? 1 cup of coffee in the morning and I still feel the effects later in the day.

You guys are affiliated with the Ray Peat community, right? I like a lot of Ray Peat's work even if some of his beliefs are goofy. You should consider covering the dangers of electric cars like EMF damage. That would make for an entertaining video.

Hey can you do a vid about preventing androgenic alopecia?
