Contact between Mark Skaife (Holden Racing Team) and Russell Ingall (Stone Brothers Racing) near the end of the championship season.
Each was penalised for their part in the incident. Both contested.
Only Skaife's was upheld.

I was a Spectator at the age of 10 with my Dad !! The hole crowd was on Edge , Blood Rushing .. Russ coming back around again ! It was Some Next Levels Shit !! Intense

That's what I call a PIT manoeuvre. Car 1 rubs with Car 9, Car 1 pulls away and, as Crompton said, "Car 9 turns right."

I watched this live and I am still convinced that if Ingall did not drop his left wheel into the dirt, he could have kept the car going. He did not do a right turn as the car kicked out of the dirt were the Tyre met the dirt and the tarmac.

How stupid was Skaife to enter a live race circuit while still in operation. Safety should have come first regardless of what accident had occurred and Skaife should of been fined severely

Skaife did not get dragged over the coals ......Ingall got murdered......Skaife has more to answer for waiting around track side during a race. Glad to see its all patched up now. great viewing
