im kazakh, and while we do not share a language we shared a lifestyle. Being nomads, yurts, accesories, family dynamics. What a beautiful story, thank you so much for sharing. This has inspired me to create something for my culture.

I cried. You can see how the work is filled with love for Nuunzaya, for Nabq, for grandmother and for the native culture. So beautiful

I'm not quite sure why the YouTube algorithms brought me, an Egyptian middle-aged woman, to this beautiful piece of art from thousands of miles away, but I'm very grateful that they did! I hope to see more of your work in the future 😊

I would watch an entire movie and a half about this, but the truth is you just needed 7 and a half minutes to make one feel more than multibillion dollar studios have using an entire franchises. You can feel the love oozing out of every frame and line of this short. Congratulations on finishing this wonderful work of art and thank you for sharing it with the world!

Oh man, I would love to see more lore about this! Who Nabq is, what she represents, what life awaited for Nuunzaya, how far did she go? So many more! Aaaaah!!!!

The artwork is beautiful. Love the play on colors. The ending birch tree choral sounds really nice. Two moments really stood out for me. The sliding between winter and summer and Nuunzaya growing up. Starting by the puppy becoming an adult dog. That was wonderful. And I absolutely love the painting of the yurts and nomads on the wall of the ger. With a drawing of Nuunzaya and Nabq. Love that part.
  • Around 2020 I exposed myself to more cultures around the world besides the very very famous ones, and one of them was Mongolia’s culture. I didn’t quite understand at the time, but mongolia is so much more beautiful and diverse than what I thought 4 years ago. The more I learn of the country and immerse myself in a sprinkle of music and google searches, the more excited I get. This was a gem I found after digging for asian 2d student animation, and I was left speechless. I hope to find more student work, and I hope your success in bringing such designs to life leads you to thrive in your future!

Hello, I cannot find the words to describe how lovely this thesis film is. I’ve personally always have been enamoured by animation and to see this lovely piece of art representing my culture and voiced acted beautifully brought me to tears. I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for truly capturing the beauty of the Mongolian culture and countryside, this made me yearn to go back to Mongolia. I enjoyed watching every moment of this and I’m sure there are many great things waiting for you. Never give up on your passions.

This one is just so beautiful ( would be understatement) & filled with immense love.. The leaf :- representing the mother nature & our guides in life🤍. The grandma :- our backbone here.. We tryna to find our own path but too scared to begin & follow. The moon our path follower & our dark's time light. Always guiding us. The forest around us which dwell us in ourselves a little more Thanku so much for this magnificent representy of this picture

This is more beautiful and impactful than over half of the animated dredge that's come out of the animation industry in the last 20 years alone. Not only is your style and technique a breath of fresh air, its story is perfectly balanced, the plot and symbolic imagery aren't beaten over our heads and then explained to us explicitly in the dialogue. The voice acting is so organic and natural and it just adds to the premium folkish whimsy of the people who you portrayed. And, of course, the animation and artistry in and of itself and that it was done all by you alone is a high achievement. I've watched so many of these CalArts shorts over the years and I have to say this is one that will actually stick with me. I'm obsessed and need a whole 90 minute feature length film where we get to see the path Nuunzaya took through life. Absolutely incredible.
