I was still in high school when gears 1 came out good memories.

I remember me and my friend were getting gears of war for christmas and every time we had an I.T class we'd sit and watch the mad world trailer over and over again on the school computers. We didn't have mobile phones that could access youtube. I played that game non stop for a week starting christmas morning

The intro cinematic for gears 2 is still one of the hardest cinematics in all of gaming.

Hearing the more melancholic remix version of Mad world while seeing Dom lifting up Marcus... man. Is not that common that a Trailer can give so many emotions.

Can't wait for E-Day 🙌 the reveal trailer made me cry man. They knew what they were doing with Mad World and Dom coming in.....just ripped at my heart strings.

After the bad story of 5 the coalition needed to get back to basics

Just went through gears 1,2 and 3 with my wife. I hadn’t played them in years. They remain so good.

Man those were truly the GOLDEN DAYS. I vividly remember going to year round school and tracking out, but none of my non school friends were on my track so I'd have a month long break with nothing to do but play the holy trinity: Halo/Gears/CoD. Games were so much more social back then too. I remember growing a group of friends for each game and on any given night I could say "hmm I feel like playing Gears, let's see if the Gears friends are online," or, "oh the Halo crew is one, lemme join em!" Those were the days. Before battle passes, loot boxes and micro transactions. It was all just about having fun with your friends online. Many fond memories indeed
