  • Feel for you - nothing worse than seeing all your hard work wasted😢 keep positive you have a beautiful life.
  • I'm sure you/ve considered many options, but why not leave the structure, put a simple roof on it and have the use of it for a few years? And shore it up as it starts to sag. Maybe not perfect, but do you need it to be? You've put so much hard work into it so far, I hope you can salvage the outdoor kitchen.
  • It’s a bad day. But you will find a resolution. You can use it for now as a shade structure and temporary kitchen while you find new wood. Maybe crowd fund. Lots of love brings a new kitchen.
  • I think I'd put a temporary light weight roof on what you have, it will at least be a shelter for a year or two.
  • Its a set back, but you have lots of stone around, collect as you build, its sand and cement and laying, use scaffold poles as a centre support to wire to and build with cement or even lime, you may even be able to salvage some wood to use in the roof, half a pillar a day and it will soon be done, good luck, stone you need is fist to 2fist size
  • We learn from our mistakes and more forward. In a way, this will focus you on the ruin which is more important to complete for your futures. The skills and knowledge you gained in the kitchen build stay with you. It was not a total waste of material and time because of the knowledge you have gained. I think the suggestion to build stone columns is good. They last far longer than a soft wood like pine. And, you get to use the skills you gained from helping build the wall.
  • 😊 what an amazing day with a video from Luke and Sarah to start it off+ I hope that all of the YouTube channel followers and subscribers are watching the few minutes of ads that come in throughout the show which shows a lot of extra support and generates a bit of revenue for the channel. Hoping that everyone has an amazing day 🙏🤞🤞😊
  • Oh no😢 Luke why not start with stone's you have lots on your land? Build pillars with wood roof frame's on top. I think it will look beautiful ❤ Greetings from South Africa, Cape Town 🤗🙏🐖🐕🐈‍⬛🌻💕
  • You could grow grape vines up the poles and over the structure. Would be so cool and beautiful with abundant grapes.
  • Beautiful people, beautiful pooch, beautiful land: what a wonderful walk!
  • I'd salvage what you can and look at building one out of pallets and put a tin roof on it with solar panels you could come the walls with planks from the trees from your land all the best and don't let it get you down chalk it up as a lesson learned
  • What a hard knock to take. 😢 Gutted for both of you. Big hug 🤗
  • It's a blessing that you have each other to lean on during the hard times.
  • Distressful for you both. Tomorrow is another day, and a chance to re-evaluate, re-focus and put your energy into what will serve you both well. Wonderful walk with you both, and Molly.
  • Luke you built the most beautiful pig houses i have ever seen in my life !!! So i am sure that you can work with what you have 👍 there is a product we have here that you can paint on and it turns soft wood into hard wood or even tar it with this stuff called 'Henry's' its like black tar that dries as hard as rock ! At this point just draw upon your genious , you ve got this !!!
  • Ai, Luke, I feel so, so sorry for you. Be strong, be brave, think again, explore. Love you and Sarah. From Walvis Bay, Namibia.
  • You have such a beautiful, beautiful place!!! You will find a solution for the outdoor kitchen!!! ⭐️☀️❤️
